About the website content, have you considered review site for Amazon products?
You can't put whole Amazon products because there are thousands of Amazon products. You need 6 months and 24 hours of work each day if you want to put the whole products.

For the platform, I suggest you use wordpress. Actually, if you can build real website, it's better than wordpress, but it's more complicated, to build a website, especially from scratch.

What country are we talking about here, and does it have its own Amazon Associates programme?

(What I'm really asking is: you're not hoping to refer people from your own country to another country's Amazon site and cash in from overseas orders/customers, right? :confused

I would be using a WordPress blog to start marketing Amazon products, with focus on individual high cost products supported by articles about them.

Market Samuari makes it easy to create such content.

Review site.. Could be a good idea.
I would use amazon.co.uk affiliate program (no extra tax problem with my country)

Why would people in your own country be using Amazon.co.uk?

You need to target the UK if you use Amazon.co.uk

Are you sure that Amazon ships to your country? Not all vendors or Amazon.co.uk itself ship internationally.

Cooler1 hits the nail on the head.

More than just the question of whether Amazon will actually ship to your country (which is important, of course), you have to question whether people will actually order from an overseas Amazon.

My guess is that very few people will do so.

I'm in the UK, and I'd hesitate to order from Amazon US even if that's the only place I can find something I desperately want. Why? Postage and potential customs/duty could prove prohibitively expensive, manufacturers' warranties possibly wouldn't be valid for a lot of stuff, and returns might prove awkward.

Do you happen to know for sure whether ordering from Amazon UK, by people in your home country, is frequent and commonplace, or are you just guessing?

To me, this idea sounds flawed.

Why use Uk? i am from EU.
There is no any extra tax problems and yes, they ships to my country. If we use amazon.com that is out of EU, so we must pay taxes.
Actually right now amazon.uk has free shipping to here and it takes 2-7 day.

    Can't use pm.

Some countries do not have their local Amazon site and in those countries, people DO order from overseas. So if you do your research and find out there is no local Amazon site in your country, and ordering from the UK has no tax issues... go ahead! It is a great idea!
I like the idea of a review site though so that people ordering have an idea what they are ordering and what they hope to get. Generally, review sites seem to do well.

I wish you all the best.
