How to get reinspired?

Hello everyone

I own a blog that I havent written on for over three months. Luckily thanks to SEO my blog still gets consistent traffic (1k-2k) and I also own a pretty young youtube channel with over 253 subscribers and my videos have over 400 views. Not a big feat but it makes me happy.

Anyways, I love the subject of the blog, its on a topic that I'd like to pursue as a career when I grow up (Im 14), but I just dont feel like writing.

Im not sure if Im burned out or something but Im just not feeling it.

I really want to revive the blog since it has huge potential but dont have the inspiration.

So my question is, how do you get inspired? Please share your tips

Why not consider outsourcing some of your writing ? This can sometimes help give you a fresh perspective on your own content. Seeing a different approach to your subject sometimes helps.

The traffic should be your inspiration, your only 14 and thats a lot of traffic!

Look at it this way your only 14, if you can push your self now it will pay off HUGE in the future, make the future you inspiration...

I was 14 once too, I know the future is the last thing your worried about, but if you can push yourself now, you will be successful in the future.

When that happens to me I will read others' blogs in my niche to see what is getting them sparked. I also check yahoo news and google news to see what the relevant news items are in my niche and will at times do a post highlighting recent news. You can also write a little about why you were passionate when you were even younger about it as people would be interested in hearing that too.

You could always outsource if you can afford it. Maybe you should do a list of tasks you want to accomplish for your blog. Just check them off as you finish them. You could also be creative with your videos and do then in different locations.

Just be creative you're only 14 use you imagination.

Inspiration is something that naturally comes with motivation.

When you are passionate about something, ideas fly out of the blue. You look around everywhere for gold nuggets... and eventually you find them.

My best advice to you is to piggyback the success of other competitors. Piggyback their ideas. Piggyback their success. See their success? Do you really want to be right up there? Do you love the subject you're in? (Then maybe, motivation in that way isn't right for you.)

Have you seen the big money earners? The way they do things... Follow them. The way they talk... Copy them. Fake it till you make it. Build that passion until it overwhelms you as motivation.

Trust me... Motivation isn't a candle. It can't burn out overnight. It's an oil lamp. Fill it up with more oil every single day, and it builds up to a sustainable flame.

I agree, but kytro's 14 I don't think I was passionate about ANYTHING when I was 14... Except maybe, Sega Genesis...

    Hi kytro360,

Little information you gave for getting exact answer.

Your thing may relate to personality - a psychiatrist would say. I'm not a psychiatrist and don't know your circumstances. But I think, there can be no burning out in your age. As I recall, I was interested in all, not just for girls - in your age. LOL

Here are some tips, you can choose from them:

==> Walk in a park. Your thoughts could be more inventive. You may be free to associate in times of leisure, or occupied with different actions.

==> Relax in an environment of quiet or encompass yourself with noise. Sit in a forest or go to a tumultuous market. Impacts can be than above.

==> Listen to a wide range of music. Classical, jazz, country, folk, pop and such. (I prefer classical because of a variety of emotions.)

==> See a film and write a review primarily based on the setting in time, or an emotion that elicited in you.

==> Look someone in the street, but not conspicuously. Imagine a story about his/her life based upon their appearance or attitude. Write that down.

==> Broaden a topic in a number of different directions, as a cook adding different ingredients to a new recipe. Write that down.

==> Report a number of elements of a story on small pieces of paper. Mix them. Select a setting, characters and plot as you like. Write that down.

==> Listen to people's conversations for idea. Think about what occurred previous to overhearing a dialog or what's going to thereafter. Write that down.

==> Stay open-minded. Give yourself a set period of time frame to commit to a topic before contemplating a new idea.

    Many successes,

    Sandor

Sandor's given you some good ideas. Here's a couple that work for me...

      > Start a conversation. When you don't have the inspiration to start the conversation, find another blogger with a post that sparks a reaction in you. The blog about that post and how it made you react. Give it a trackback. You may start a running discussion that will give you fodder for some time.

      > Write about anything - what you see out your window, something you saw on TV, the fantasy you had about that hot teacher, whatever. It's not for publication, just inspiration.

There are many same names. Another Sega Genesis I know is a physical therapist in our village whom I go to when I have special needs.

Outsource. Read. Blog about something you've watched. So many great suggestions here. The main idea is creativity. What you read or watch may not really be related to your niche but you can think of a way to creatively link them up.

Wow 14! I wish I'd found this world when I was 14. Keep at it. I like your drive and hard work. You are your own motivation...why don't you try keeping a journal (or personal blog) and write about yourself; the challenges, etc... that is motivation.

53 as I write this. Lots of the things I use everyday were still science fiction back then.

Heck, I remember being one of the first families on our block that had color TV. It didn't do much good, because at the time there were only three shows on in color every week. We did have a range of choices to watch. 3 commercial networks, PBS and a local independent station.

              Good old days? Yes... yes.

I don't know if this fits here, but when I was 14, there was a big mess over here in 1956. I remember, that people stood in line for bread out of the shop when they were shot. Someone died and many injured.

But, as you know, time fades one thing, and embellish others. When I was in that ages I got my first kiss and my second literary award (first was when I was ten).

I was also touched by the business spirit and wrote fellows student's paper. Sometimes for money, sometimes for some other thing. This is how I got my rabbits, dogs and pigeons, for example.

It wouldn't hurt if you know life early, you can get some useful basis for your future.

              All the best,

When we got our first color tv, NBC was still using the colorful peacock preceding a program, to let everyone know it was in COLOR! LOL

When I first started my entrepreneurial endeavors, mail order was the big deal, and for us poor folk, it was not that easy. I couldn't even imagine then, the technology we have to today to launch a successful biz right at home, with nothing more than an internet connection, and domain hosting.

              @ Lynn,

You've pointed out the cardinal aspect. If you have will, the whole world can be at your help. Without will you can feel like everything is against you.

But this is not the case. Because... merely... your approach is different.

It may fit here: "Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible." from Saint Francis of Assisi.

              @ fLufF,

That can be a good solution.

Of course, don't hurt if you are prepared from that person for the best approach. I'd suggest to OP to search people here on WF at first.

There are many here who might be accessible. Of course, not everyone will agree at first, but after a NO can come a YES.

              OP just should try it.

              @ Psst,

Yea, but, you may realize that there is a little difference betwen John and me. He is younger than me with a generation.

But this isn't important. Your age is not your merit, only a state. Always live to your age properly and you can be satisfied.

Anyway, as you know: other days, other possibilities. We can listen to the radio in our family for the first time in 1953, just as I have not seen TV before 1957, and that was just black and white.

So, I spent my time with something else. Therefore, there are good memories.

              @ Debbie,

Indeed, the world has changed a lot.

Today, our whole world is full of gadgets that weren't exist before. The many gadgets resulted that you may feel yourself lost sometimes. And this can be observed in the evolution of buyer-seller relationships as well.

A chinese saying goes something like: 'if you can't smile, don't open business'. I remember how I learned to smile on people before a mirror to be accepted.

Sorry, I digrest. But the point where I got to, is: Treat the customer the way you want to be threated and your business will prosper. Offline and online.

Now back to make some work.

              Greetings,

              Sandor

The fact that you WANT to get inspired again is probably the biggest reason that you will. Just keep being open to it and keep doing things that interest you. Eventually, you'll come across just the spark you need for that blog.

In the meantime, you can get someone else to do the writing for you or use PLR articles.

Life rewards action, as you have already learned, so just keep moving!
You're going to be a millionaire, congratulations!

    • John McCabe has it just right: "When you don't have the inspiration to start the conversation, find another blogger with a post that sparks a reaction in you."

Contact important people you admire and ask for an interview. You're only 14, not the typical media hack, so you might be surprised by their reactions.

Ask some specific questions of interest to you.

    Hi Kytro,

Its very refreshing to read a post from someone who has some pretty successful things working at the moment who is so young! only today i was trying to encourage a lad i work with to start a blog. he is 15, and thought he was to young for all this but he sat and read your post with me, proving to him, he is not to young to get involved!!
Anyway, i am only new to this IM business myself and although i am buzzing that i have a blog now and am working towards the goals i have set my self, i still find i need motivation sometimes to sit at the computer and type.
I am still working full time as a chef and i have two kids and a fiance so my time is very precious, but i still find the time to do what i need to do online (just).

My main motivation is my family, especially my kids. Every time i think "oh, ill just do a post tomorrow instead" or I'm tired after work, i just think of them and the life they will have when I'm successful!
I think of all the things i want to buy when im making good money and also the fact i wont have to work for anyone apart from myself, which is a very nice thought!

I know that some of my motivations may not apply to you but for someone so young all i can say is stick at it and think of the future, get it right and you wont have to answer to any boss or superior, EVER!!!

good luck and keep up the good work

..this holds a key to inspiration

If you feel you got burned out on doing the same thing all over again, since I can in some ways, relate to that feeling. If I am writing blogs or articles for how many months, there are instances that I feel tired of writing blogs or articles and at some point, there is nothing that motivates me to write something. What I did was to make some changes on how I write blogs and articles, I tried to learn and study other ways to earn some money online aside from posting articles and blogs.
I tried affiliate marketing and helped clients' displays their products in my site and from then on, if I feel tired and out of motivation to write something, I then changed my work at that point in other method, that is, to prevent the feeling of getting burned out on doing the same work all over again.
