WSO Question - do you need a list to have success?

Just a question..

When running a WSO do you rely on your list to make a lot of sales or the WF traffic?

I have been browsing lots of WSOs and lots of them have lots of views and positive comments...and it seems like they have done pretty well...

I only ran one WSO at a low price..it did alright, but still would like to improve as I go along. Not really built a list yet, but I have started to.

trying to figure out this WSO marketplace.

A list is not needed to succeed but it helps, alot.
I suggest starting to build your list straight away for more success

IMO having a list is vital to getting lots of eyes on your products. It also allows you to directly help people that you know are targeted for you.

You absolutely DO NOT need a list.

However, you should be using the new customers you acquire through your WSO to grow your list.

Um I have to disagree and would say YOU MUST have a list. Of course people will see it just by swinging bye but if you opened a store would you just wait for people to show up or would you advertise?

With your own list you can promote your WSO directly to them but more importantly you can promote other Warrior offers and then of course when you launch go back and call in the favor. Hey I sent for you please send for me.

That's how the really big WSO and CB launches happen. It's all what have you or could you do for me so take the bull by the horns and go get the biggest chip in the game, YOUR HUGE LIST

The majority of WSO sales come through affiliates. WF traffic and your own list is secondary.

Of course if you are not building a list you are just leaving a ton of money on the table.

How do you know this, Chris?

I hope you don't mind my asking, but I'm extremely surprised. Maybe I'm entirely wrong, but this wasn't my impression at all. Where is such information available other than perhaps in the case of the minority of WSO's offered through "WSO-Pro"?

I've only just started to build a list with my latest WSO and to use affiliates to promote it too. I'm wishing I had done the same for all of my previous WSO's.

Of course it can be done without a list, but it can be done even better with a list!

It's gonna be a lot tougher to make sales on your first WSO if you don't have a list or are not at least a pretty well known marketer around these parts. Having said that, I'm sure there are plenty of examples of first-time WSO'ers that do very well because they come up with a slick sales page that sells the sizzle really well and promises riches without doing much work. They tap into a huge market of buyers looking for that quick fix and easy money.

If you're looking for something more long-term, though, a list is a must if you sell your own stuff. We call it a list, but really it's the core of those people that become your regular customers. Just like any offline business, you live or die by turning first-time customers into regular repeat buyers. Staying in touch with them regularly (ie, having them on a list) puts the control in your hands instead of hoping they happen to see your next offer by chance.

I can't imagine a list being absolutely necessary, but you should be working on building your list of buyers through your WSO.

You don't need a list, but it helps a lot and I highly recommand start making one.
And like Chris said if I look at my own stats, a lot of sales are done by affiliates (like Chris as he is a super affiliate). As an example, my latest wso has been sold 1080 times at this moment and out of that number about 10% came out of my own list and trafic from the warriorforum itself. More then 900 sales were made thru affiliates.

Absolutely necessary? Probably not. But the money really is in the value that you add to your list. A list is vitally important to build good relationships with your prospects. And a good relationship is a necessary prerequisite to a long-term business, whether you are promoting your own products, or being an affiliate for others.

I have had a similar experience with all 5 of my WSOs, most of the sales come from affiliates now since there are just too many WSOs that bumping does not have the effect that it did 6 months ago.

Having a list does help, especially to generate interest in your WSO at the start

Wow that's a lot of affiliate sales. What commission do you offer? Also do you provide affiliate tools or some type of incentive (aside from the commission)?

I'm also curious to know this.

Are the procedures for getting WSO affiliates the same as getting affiliates for a bigger launch?

I use WSO Pro. No affiliate tools just the link and the commission on the frontend on this one was 75% and 50% on the upsell which converted at 30%.

Getting A succesfull warrior on board who promotes your offer can be a real gamechanger. There were in my case 4 affiliates who each sold more then 100 copies.

A list is always a plus, but if you don't have one, no worries.
You can always make a joint venture with someone who has one, that is how the big boys do it.

I can usually count on my list delivering at least 20 sales when I release a new WSO...

My last WSO I got over 40 sales from my list...

A list will obviously help but it's not to say it can't be done without a list. I did it without a list but that's exactly how you build a list. Remember, everyone who has a list was once just like you - without a list.

If your product is good and you sell it through Warrior Plus you also have the chance of picking up a lot of affiliates as promoting WSO's seems to be the flavor of the month.

Email marketing can be lucrative for any business. The foundation for successful email marketing is a targeted, consent-based email list. Marketers call their contact lists their goldmine for a simple reason that it can generate a lot of their sales revenue though building an email subscription list to begin with takes a little investment of time, for an easy on the pocket advertising effort, which will be able to engender prospects and serious buyers. Having an email subscriber list can make you rich in no time. You get paid whenever you send an email.

List is like an asset but its the quality and nurturing of the list. If you just try to send affiliate offers your list will be dead fairly soon...Try to truly help someone not for the sake of making money but if you provide high value, ppl will eventually buy from you in the end...
