Innovative IDEAS... For good CONTENT... and high TRAFFIC

I want to start a thread where people share their thoughts on producing a site that has fresh content that will bring traffic.

In my head a site that would have fresh content is anything current Ex News, Movies, Music, Entertainment.

You could start a movie review website in that way you have fresh content every movie, new keywords every review, and If the layout and reviews and extra features are good, you have good content.

(am I right about that, would that be a good direction to go?)

Post your thoughts on websites that will be fresh have good content.

Fresh content is really any new original material added to a site that brings the search spiders back to re-index the site.

The down side of News, Movies, Music, Entertainment, though they are easy traffic builders, they are not the easiest to convert to revenue generating sales.

In my opinion, most types of websites can have fresh content all the time if you actually work on it. You can work on the content yourself or outsource but there should always be something to put on the website, even if it is 3 times a week. Always more to write about and news happening every day to update.

I mean you could do a news site or a movie review website but I think it would be hard to make sales. You may be able to earn a decent amount of money through Adsense but not sure if there are many products you could actually sell.

I think a website where members can update information, share articles/media, etc would be the best way to keep content fresh and traffic flowing. That could be a social networking website or just a News/Review website with a social feature included.

Current events are okay if you can write about it from an evergreen perspective. My emphasis is on content that is relevant longer than a week. Sure, most content becomes obsolete at some point (I often update posts), but I avoid writing posts that are relevant for the short term.

I focus on unique content that can be monetized or where I link to content I monetize. I prefer lower volumes of targeted and buying traffic than vast quantities of non-buying traffic. That said, if you can turn a current event into a money-maker, even in the short term and can replicate that repeatedly, then you have a recipe for success.

I'm a writer, photographer, graphic artist and publisher. I've been publishing print newspapers and magazines for about thirty years now and online publications since 1997.

Fresh content can pretty much be anything from your opinion on a current event to some new ideas on recipes.

To be original, it simply has to be your unique view or presentation of the subject matter.
