Pushing Domains on GoDaddy and Loosing credit

I am looking at buying off a friend, ( well an online aquatance anyway ! ) 3 .com domains that she doesn't want to use and I think I could make a Niche site for. They are registered at Godaddy, I do have a Godaddy account, these domains are about 2 months old, so they have 10 months to run. If I buy them off she via paypal, she says it is a free push within Godaddy, would i get 10 months credit until they are due to expire or would I have to pay a fresh and loos that 10 months remaining life?

Thanks

As long as you are moving the domain names from one GoDaddy account to another GoDaddy account the transfer will be free and you will get the remaining 10 months of the domain life.

If you were receiving it from another registrar, like NameCheap, you would have to pay the transfer fee and it would add another year to the current domain life, giving you 1 year and 10 months.

    Ducksauce,
As the previous poster noted, moving a domain from one Go Daddy account to another account within Go Daddy is a free process. The domain will retain its current expiration date. We have two articles to explain the process and get you going:
Moving the domain out of an account: x.co/ZNMO
Accepting the domain into an account: x.co/ZNMY

    Hope this helps!
