Can An Autoresponder Series And Broadcast Emails Peacefully Co-Exist?

Email marketing is a red hot way to grow your online business, but I've been relying on pure autoresponder series, which is fine as I can set it up so it lasts for a fairly long amount of time, at least 2-3 months in most niches.

But for a lot of affiliate programs you will get special offers you can promote that only last a short period of time, you can't just add it into the autoresponder as it will soon become completely irrelevant, it would make sense to send a broadcast email, it will reach everyone and it means it's relevant but it will intervene in the autoresponder series.

You would end up with a lot of subscribers getting back to back promotional emails and that is would result in a lot of lost subscribers. Is there a way to use both without them clashing with each other?

In aweber you should be able to set the day (monday/ tuesday...) on which you want the auto responder email to go out. And lot of times product launches happen on tuesday / thursday, so you could possibly keep those dates free in your autoresponder and there by avoid the two promo offers on the same day.

I'm with Chris on this one. In my case, the product is one I'm trying to get people to buy anyway, and I'm not trying to fool anyone.

If I get a special offer, I tell people 'look, I've been telling people about Product X for awhile, now. I just got an email saying that you can get the following deal on X until [date]. Here's the skinny...'

It pushes some folks off the fence, others aren't ready yet. Mostly it's 'no harm, no foul.'

When you gotta mail you gotta mail... Even if you've got a auto responder queue as long as your arm.

Yes, use the autoresponder follow-up messages more for building a good relationship and providing good value and great content. Use the broadcast messages for product launch promotions that are time-sensitive.
