Sorry if this is the wrong board for these questions...

Anyway, I have been lurking on these and other Internet Marketing forums for awhile, read some things, and decided that it's time to try some things. For most of the things I have seen that involve making money online, they can often involve using things like AlertPay or PayPal. However, I have one problem with those two options...

I currently cannot verify those accounts, and I would like to get started as soon as possible. From what I have understood in the past with PayPal, you can receive money to an unverified PayPal account, but without it being verified, you cannot move money from it. I could be wrong on this, however. Anyway, I have about two questions in regard to this...

1. Can I start some things without having verified PayPal and/or AlertPay accounts?

2. If I do, and earn a very large amount of money on PayPal and/or AlertPay (for example, ten thousand dollars), will my account be "flagged" as being suspicious? Also, for what it's worth, I realize that it is probably unrealistic for a newbie to gain ten thousand dollars in a short period of time. However, I am trying to provide a somewhat extreme example that may cause those services to be suspicious of an unverified account earning a large amount of money.

I just thought that I would double-check with regard to these questions, as I don't want any accounts to be banned and/or flagged. For instance, I have heard many stories on PayPal freezing accounts for little to no reason.

Thanks for the help!

Be careful with Paypal.. I've heard some horror stories about merchants getting the run around for no reason (at least that they admitted).

    Have you considered using Clickbank?

I'm not really sure why you can't get your accounts verified, but what about getting a merchant account and payment gateway?

Personally, I use Powerpay and Authorize.

When I sell products, I give PayPal as an option because it's ubiquitous.

However, I prefer people to pay me via Authorize as their fees are lower and their customer service is great.

The more I read your post, the more inclined I am to ask, "Are you SERIOUS?" Of course an unverified account is suspicious! And if you did manage to accumulate some money in it, it wouldn't be "for little to no reason" that PayPal would freeze it.

I have 10 thousands in my paypal, but I have everything verify. My credit card, my bank and so on and I even remember my security answers.

Paypal has only frozen my account once and all I had to do to unfreeze it was to answer the security questions.

My advice is to verify your paypal and remember your security answers.

Unfortunately, Paypal will not offer verification based on certain countries. So, if you're in one of those unsupported countries, then it's best to look for alternatives.

Try Google Checkout (checkout.google.com) they have an excellent service. Great alternative to Paypal. Everyone recognizes the brand and so are willing to do business with you.

Unverified accounts that receive money are suspicious. This would not come under the category of flagging an account for little or no reason. I wouldn't bother promoting anything with an unverified payment processor. Just asking for trouble.

    Thanks for the replies, everyone.

To clarify on some things, I can get a verified PayPal and AlertPay account. It is just going to take me a few days to get everything set up. I was anxious to get started as soon as possible. However, I will probably consider looking into Clickbank as well, since I believe that they will send checks.

Yeah, I figured that it would probably look suspicious, but I just wanted to confirm. Also, for what it's worth, at the end of my message, I was actually referring to PayPal freezing verified accounts "for little to no reason." I should have clarified that better, though.

Anyway, thanks for the quick replies, everyone! I'll be getting them verified so I have more options.

If your account isn't verified, it still can do things like the verified account. Only, it has limitation. Take PayPal for example, if your account isn't verified, you can only receive and send money for limited amount. This amount is vary based on your country. For example, in europe, you can receive up to €1000 a month. In US, you can receive up to $500 month.

And I suggest you verify it first before receiving money. And yes, they can flag your account, freeze the money inside.

As for Alertpay, I advise you use PayPal because not a lot people use Alertpay, both buyers and sellers. I have money in Alertpay, but I don't know what I should buy with it because not a lot sellers use it.

    Hi,
With AlertPay you shouldn't have any problem receiving all this money. You will however have to verify the account before you withdraw the money. AlertPay will also ask you about the source of the funds (unless it is clear).

    Hope this helps,
