I've done it again! Got suckered into reading a thread only to find half an hour later that it has been resurrected from years ago by some bozo.

The one I got stuck into today was started in 2009.

I really don't know why some people like to open up old threads when there is so much current stuff on here to comment on.

Of course, it is my own fault for not checking, but with the state of my eyesight lately, reading the text of a post is hard enough, let alone squinting at the posting date.

Surely it would be possible to put the first post date in the index title line? The last post date is displayed.

I suggested this a couple of years ago but got no serious response - perhaps I should go and see if I can find that old thread and resurrect it!

    Sorry, i guess the only reason this takeplace, because many come through search engine. They may not be aware when it started.

    I have seen people opening threads way back from 2008. I used to waste my time reading & then realize that the thread was old.

      These threads usually get closed anyway, but we can still pick up a golden nugget or 2 from these prehistoric threads..
