What is WSO Review Copy?

Hey Warriors,

I will be launching a product to be sold in WSO end of next month but I have been seeing a lot of warriors asking for review copies from the seller.

What are they exactly?

It means they want your stuff for free. That is a no no on here technically. In return for them getting a free copy of your WSO, they'll review it for you for a testimonial.

Yeah, its usually done so people can guarantee that you're selling something of value and just pushing some crappy product. If anyone asks I would only give it to someone who has been here for a very long time and they can be trusted not to leak it. Sometimes people are doing it just to get a free product.

It's expressly disallowed.

(I know it happens, though).

Personally, when reading WSO reviews, I look for those from people who paid for the product and are using it, because the views of people given a free copy and those who think it looks nice but haven't tested it yet don't typically interest me as much.

However, John McCabe makes a very valid point here, also.

Yes, think they stopped it because it was just an easy way to get a free product. Or that is what it became anyway.

Agree with Alexa, if you have paid for the product then you are going to give more of an informed opinion.

It's another way to get a product for free in exchange for a testimonial in the WSO thread of the seller.Usually,these people get the product for free and never put what they ve learned in use.Just another e-book which takes space in their HDD.But it doesn't matter since it's totally FREE

Personally, I think 'asking' for a review copy is pretty shallow. ]
I wouldnt go to a pub and ask for a "review" pint of beer!
