What would you do if you caught your outsourcer doing this...

I have been having having success finding good people on Odesk for things like backlinking and prospecting, up until now.

Lately, I caught my outsourcer with some obscene pictures on his screen during the diary snapshot...

Then I found another where he was backlinking to some porn website on my watch.

I sent him an email, demanding to know what was going on and have heard nothing back!

What are my options here? I don't feel as if I should be paying this guy for his efforts?!

    If this person is an Odesk provider, report him after that you have no options but to move on and find some on else to outsource your projects too. What can you really do? The person probably live in another country aye?

    i use odesk a lot

    thats what those screen shots are for. i would file a complaint with odesk and they will adjust the time charged to your account.

    and i think it goes without saying. fire the guy. as for negative feedback...that gets a bit more tricky. i hate to leave negative feedback unless its an egregious mistake.

    and in my opinion. this is one.

    I don't know how they moderate this on odesk, but it is obvious that the person should only do what you are asking him for and backlinking to pornsites is definitely not one of them, unless you work in that niche of course.

    In fact it can get you into hot water. Depending on how much you have payed the person, I would do as suggested by the others. Report him. I can't what else you could do and otherwise move on.

    Unfortunately that is what is happening in this business. To find reliable and good outsources is more difficult than it sounds.
