Wordpress theme/plugin for website store?

I want to set up a turnkey website store and wondered if anyone had any suggestions for suitable wp themes and or plugins that will allow me to show the sites and allow people to add them to cart and then checkout and be sent the download automatically.

Also a nice feature would be if it could have inventory ie i can limit it to 50 copies and when sold it is removed from sale

I have tried doing some google searches and so far only thing i have found is shopper press and wondered if there were any alternatives

Thanks

Goto elegancetheme.com or themeforest.net and I believe you should be able to find what you need. Or do your google search like this---> wordpress theme: ecommerce theme or template. There are many of them maybe you faile to include ecommerce theme in your keyword searches.

As he says, these are available. My personal experience is that either worpress is not ideal as a shop or I need to learn to develop WP themes more.
I hit several barriers with a new site I am building and decided it was easier to link from the site direct to affiliates or my own products with other sites.

If you want the real deal, try Premiumpress, go checkout their ShopperPress Themes

Yeah, what you need is a shopping cart plugin that has the ability to sell downloadable products, which is a feature that most WordPress shopping carts actually support.

Why would you want to use wordpress as an ecommerce platform? Why!

Get an opensource cart such as opencart or prestashop and then put a blog in a folder such as mywickedstore.com/blog

Trust me using wordpress as an ecommerce system (which it is not by default) your always going to play catch up with purpose built ecommerce systems, wordpress ecommerce plugins are all well and good but in fairness I would stick to a purpose built commerce system.
