FTC Disclosure policy?

Just wondering whether it is a MUST to have a disclosure policy on Review sites for amazon / clickbank?

What does it help?

    Yes you must.

It helps you stay out of trouble with the law.

If you are in the US I would personally think it would be wise to have a disclosure policy on all/any of your sites.

I think clickbank requires it. I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon does too.

You need to go read their TOS or use policies.

Don't take anyones word for it here - and don't ever expect legal advice from non lawyers like myself.

      Jill,

I agree with you that everyone should consult a lawyer instead of taking advice from people on a forum when it comes to important issues regarding their businesses.

However, in this case, it doesn't really matter if Clickbank requires it or Amazon requires it...
The FTC requires certain disclosures now and those you must abide by.

      Best,
      Shane

is it fine to just have it in the footer? I want to avoid having it right in the header.
