Ewan Chia.. Super Afiliate
Consumer wealth system
Commission Dominations
and Income times ten
Free classifieds (I can afford paid classifieds)
Google ad words

Consider this a hobby and an education until you start making money at it. do not expect to make a living from it for several months of consistent effort. It is depressing and futile to have any more expectations for immediate income.

      Man, I couldnt disagree more!

This is a business at the end of the day, and you cannot grow any reliable business is you just take it as a "hobby" or as "education". If you put in a half-assed effort, you will get half-assed rewards. Either you treat it as a serious business, or you wont get anywhere.

Of course you should treat it as a business. Just do not expect immediate income on it. It can be quite discouraging for newcomers that expect to make a living on this overnight. You should get a real job and treat this as a hobby until you have it up and running making income for you to live on.

This is just a little message to Thank EVERYONE for all of you support.
I know that I was getting too out of control with all of the distraction with the latest software etc.
My energy levels have been restored and I am focused now on what I need to do instead of spending hours at the computer looking at everyone elses click bank PROFIT screens.

        Thanks again

I agree, with anonymous affiliate i found out at the early stages after attending workshops and seminars that this is an actual business, so you have to treat it like a business, and put in the efforts as a business. You can not treat it like a hobby otherwise your results will be that of a hobby.

It took me 8months being online and teaching myself what I gathered and brought just to put together formulas that work for my business.

My advice to you is simple :

        Step 1 :

        Pick 1 niche

        step 2:

create a landing page/squeeze page, offering a free gift of value and build your list.

        step 3:

create your blog in your niche

the formula is simple but yet effective, treat it like a business and watch you will see results, i got my first affilliate cheque this way and it works

Well, not only that, but let's be honest . . .

If we wanted to become a doctor or a lawyer, would we expect to open our own practice, or get accepted to a partnership, all within two months of starting school?

I mean, we have our 4 year degree, then our law school or med school, then internship, and so on, not to mention any specialty schooling we'd need. We're looking at some 12 years of prep work and schooling before we can even think about earning a proper income from it.

What if we were going to open our own B&M business? We might consider a franchise, right? Well, Mickey D's requires a cool $1M before you can even sign the papers, let alone before you even lay the first brick of your new restaurant. Subway is a bit better. Just to sign the papers is $15K, with a total investment of upwards of $200K.

And, again, that's all before you've sold a single burger or philly steak 'n' cheese.

After that, you are looking at at least 5 years to just recoup your initial investment, let alone putting money back into the business, which can stretch out the amortization even further.

What's more, you're stuck only being able to service a fixed segment of the population . . . that being the people in your area, be you a doctor, lawyer, Mickey D's owner, or Subway owner.

Oh, and have we even talked about the costs of paying back our school loans?

Now, compare that with IM . . .

Overhead is minimal at best. We can get our customers for free once we set up certain marketing principles into motion. Our profit margins can often be greater than 50% (vs. 5-6%), and in some cases approach infinite. And we can employ tons of experts and teams working for us, usually at minimal cost, without having to worry about tax laws or employee issues. And let's not forget that we don't have to worry about inventory management or fulfillment. Downloadable products and CPA arrangements help with that.

And all of this while working in our underwear or pajamas.

So, compared to everything listed before, I'd take IM over B&M any day of the week.

Oh, and did we mention the passive residual income aspect of it?

It's so funny. Family and friends are more than pleased at the notion of your becoming $200,000+ in debt, and not seeing any return on investment, if any at all, for a whole decade, and will gladly tell everyone about your plight with great pride and gusto as they regale others of how you are becoming a doctor or lawyer, but you mention anything remotely connected to IM, and they expect to see you make back your investment some 10x within a month or two, or they tell you that the whole thing was a scam, and you're a sucker. Explain that one to me.

I completely agree with chuckwells' view.Try not to see the affiliate marketing gig as a source of living.Keep educating yourself, try different techniques, see what works and what doesn't and with time you'll start seeing some positive changes.

For starters, i think you are targeting the wrong niche. It's a very common mistake for newbies to get sucked into the MMO niche, thinking that's where most of the money is.

People in the MMO niche will usually purchase through their own affiliate link, or purchase through someone elses' for their exclusive bonuses. Promoting such products when you don't have some following / killer, relevant bonuses / you have no clue how to make money online just doesn't cut it.

I'll say you go for other niches that you're passionate in and have some knowledge about. You can make money much easier in niches where your potential customers have no idea what an affiliate is and are just looking for solutions to their problems.

    Hi Kysaan,

Looks like you got suckered into the typical newbie things.

Despite what the sales letters tell you - it's not normal to expect to buy a few ebooks and then be an expert and making a full time income.

You will do better if you forget what you've bought/done and just use your brain and common sense.

The good news is - making money is NOT hard. So if you're prepared to work hard then you can definitely make it happen.

The bad news is - the 'best' way for you to do it is not already written down by other people.

You need to create your own plan and then work it.

For example, here's a very quick way to approach starting out:

    1) pick something you're genuinely interested in and passionate about ALREADY.

Do not try and pick something just because you think it will make money (you already know what happens when you do that).

    2) see if there are other people who are interested in and passionate about your subject.

    3) see if there are already products being sold effectively to those people.

    4) see if there are effective advertisements offering products to those people.

You can quickly get an idea just by searching on Google and seeing if there are Google ads running. If there are then check out some of the products being offered and see if any of them have an affiliate program.

    5) join an affiliate program and get a link to use to promote the product.

    6) create a simple landing page that talks about the main problem that the product addresses and offer free information about it - have a few simple emails which share information about the issue and at the bottom of each one include a link to the affiliate product.

    7) create a PPC campaign that addresses the main problem people are searching with in your niche. If you're really struggling then just base your ad on the top ads already running in the niche.

    8) test and track what keywords get you traffic and convert into buyers.

    9) when you have a list of keywords/phrases that you KNOW turn into buyers from your testing - either stop running your PPC (or if you're making more than you're spending - keep doing it) and then focus on SEO and get that traffic from organic rankings instead.

    10) add more products, more information etc.....

The worst that can happen is that you spend a bit of time and a little money learning more about something you're already interested in.

      Hi kysaan,
My advice would be to not spend any more money!
Even in the responses on this thread you have some great advice:

      Find the market.
      Find what they want.
      Create the offer.
Present the offer to that market.

When you say you are getting no clickbank sales, how many visits are you getting to your clickbank links?

There are plenty of ways to drive free traffic, so passion (not necessary but hugely helpful!) plus creating valuable content which is distributed will get a good deal of traffic.

      Good luck!

Wow Andy, you are a champ.
      Big Thank you back.....

I am prepared to work hard and I have been,,, but a big part of the "newbie experience" is getting through the 'crap' and figuring out what is real and what is not.

I have asked for a refund on a few things,, ie. Commission Domination!!! the bonus business in a box,, I thought ok I will give it a go... well! I paid for hosting, a domain name and the $50 to click bank merchant only to find (at last count) 6 of the exact same product in the market place..... Now didnt I feel stupid.
Anyway, I appreciate your advice and you have given me a boost.
      Have a great day

I'm with Andy on this. I'd also add this "Find one thing and stick with it," like this man's sig says: "If you don't stand for one thing you'll fall for anything."

Start a blog on a topic that really interests you. Eat up the subject like a tick. Learn everything you can about it. Read every day, write every day. Refuse to give up. Make sure it's something people are ALREADY reading about.

Don't expect instant results. There's a time to sow and a time to reap, but ya gots ta do a lotta sowing before the reapin'

      Hi Kysaan,

I guess Andy has answered almost all of the things that will definitely help you move towards making real money online. Thanks Andy for such a detailed contribution.

I wont add anything much to it as one of the reasons that keep people from succeeding online is Information Overload. I would recommend you stop buying one product after another and focus on one strategy.

With a dozen launches a day, loosing focus is very easy. I would also recommend you to use forums like this one to gain more of your knowledge rather than spending money on one product after another. There are some great Warriors here willing to help their advice and assistance.

And finally, remember it takes time to set up a real business online. If you intend on setting up a real business which gives you an opportunity to leverage your time and efforts and make you more money, the key is PATIENCE. Believe in yourself.

Just my suggestion for reaching your goals -

      1) Decide on your Goal

      2) Take action which leads you to your goal (most people fail on this)

      3) Keep a constant track of where your actions are leading you. (very important. Most of the time people find they are spending their time on things that has no connection with reaching their goals)

      4) Be willing to Change/Update your actions of needed.

Hope you find it useful and it helps you succeed in achieving your online dreams.

      Regards,

      Aaron Salian

      Andy

There you go, this is literally your blueprint to success. I would say that you should look for markets that have buyers AND traffic first, then pick one of these that you are interested in. Doing it the other way around has a good chance of putting you on the track of working hard in a niche that doesn't have enough money to make it worthwhile.

Next, if you go the PPC route ALWAYS send the traffic to your own squeeze page first to get people on your list. I made the huge mistake of spending tens of thousands of dollars sending traffic to my presell pages. I was making money, but when Google shut down my account I was left with nothing to show long-term for the money I spent.

If I had used that money to build the list THEN send them to my presell pages, I would have been able to go full time much sooner (read: years sooner).

You need to think long-term. It takes on average (unless you are aggressive with SEO) 3 years to make money with a website.
Finally, don't believe that it take 3 years to make money from a website. It really depends on the market and how you market the site. I've had sites that I created for SEO traffic that made money in the first week. It took months to get that revenue to be consistent but it can be done.

Now, I will say that it may take 3 years to get to the point of doing this full time (it took me longer than that) but not 3 years for an individual site.

Focus on one marketing method and maybe 2-3 niches at first. Make it work and move to the next set of niches.

Thank you so much Andy. Your reply is truly honest and valuable. I too am struggling since March this year. I have a blog, IM niche. Traffic is increasing but they are not buying. I have a optin page but visitors are not signing up. It has been a month now since I put it up. I only have 1 subscriber. Perhaps, my offer is not that appealing.

Any ideas, free tools perhaps to keep me going?

If you are really doing hard work and results are nothing then you should reconsider the efforts you are making. The important thing is the products you have choose to market. The place where you are marketing and the traffic you are getting.

That was a great post Andy!

I make money as an affiliate, but the truth is, I've made most of my money creating products. Creating their own products is the thing that often intimidates newbies, so they avoid it, thinking being a straight up affiliate will be easier.

    It's not.

You can use your passion as a starting point as Andy stated. My first info-product was for magicians. It was a good way for me to get my training wheels.

However, it's a small niche, without a lot of money to spend. Remember, competition is good and you want a large niche, that's hungry for information, and has money.

You can make it only selling other people's products, so this isn't meant to discourage. I just think it's actually easier to create your own than it seems.

Firstly don't be too hard on yourself. It took me 3 years of "being an online marketer" before I started seeing decent income. Give yourself time to understand how it all works.

Secondly, STOP buying SYSTEMS and BLUEPRINTS etc...simply read this forum. Decide on what you want to promote, and how. Then read everything you can about that particular method ONLY! Do not read about new ideas, different techniques etc until you have mastered the one you have chosen. And if it does not work, find out why. What are you doing wrong/different. This will allow you to "fix" it and change it to make it work for you. If you do it any other way, you will suffer from the infamous information overload and never really get anywhere.

Thirdly, persevere! Keep at it until you make only a little money. Then STOP. Think about what you did to make that little money, and then do it over and over again...

I think that is really good advice.Just do not buy every shiney new "how to make money trick" out there.I would try SOLO ADS info from dseisner in the forum as he knows whats he's talking about and if you look around there are some great WSO's to get traffic to your offers.

Ok, this is important... you need to list build in those niches. As your list grows follow up with emails use Aweber or Get Response. Send an email with your affiliate link. Also set up a blog and a review site for those sites. They will bring in the odd sale. But list building, then emailing is the way to make money with click bank. List Build, List Build List Build

      Hi Buddy,

Don't take it too hard, we all have been there.

I guess so much useful information has been already said in this thread, let me tell you what i did.

About couple of years back I started off with Weight loss niche (i had no idea of what i was doing), made nothing ... despite spending 14-18 hrs a day. But then i started to read forums like DP, WF and that cleared my head a bit. Branched off to CPAs & Offline Consulting.

      1. Always start with a niche you know something about
      2. Consider if you can blend online/offline (less competition and decent returns to encourage you)
      3. Stop buying WSOs left and right, identify the area you want to specialise and just read threads n posts in this forum. Its a goldmine.
      4. Please stop trying too many things at once (easier to say than to do)
      5. Once you think you know a decent amount, may be you can consider creating your own products.

This is not black magic and don't believe people who claims $5000 in a day (if you did, then they will be the one making $5000 a day)

IM takes time like anything else, so please don't give up.

PM me if you need any specific help.

      Cheers,
      Vincent

Now that's a book that would sell!!! Or... you could do a male version as well... Hide Receipts from My Wife! For the opposite, could do a survey on this forum and get all kinds of feedback! Guys don't like to admit it... but they get suckered too!

You are giving lighter mood with a twist here pal lol! But I think the main point is accepting errors as part of our learning process. Patience is virtue. I am hoping that you will find the right formula of success, like I am wishing for myself too. Good luck!

You need to think long-term. It takes on average (unless you are aggressive with SEO) 3 years to make money with a website.

If you are aggressive with SEO, when you stop posting links the site dies off as quickly as it gained the rankings.

Pick one niche that you believe in and stick with it. Be determined and follow through and don't give up. You can choose from a wide variety of niches but the most important thing is to stick with your idea and follow through. The most common mistake that people do is jumping from niche/program to niche/program and, sadly never gets any done...

    1. Keep learning and build your skills.
    2. Get help and ask questions.
    3. Take action and apply your training.

    Hope that helps. Good luck!

Everything takes time. I would advise you to take down whatever paid advertisement you have and start making this more of a learning experience. Learn about SEO and how to design better sites.

I also did this for a while a few years back and after not seeing results within the first few months, I gave up. Its hard to start making money because you have NO idea where to start.

I started back up about 6-8 months ago with affiliate marketing and I am finally doing well and have just released an ebook on what I know about affiliate marketing and plan on turning it into a blog eventually where I will post what I learn.

Think of it like this: If you were to go to school for a job, it would end up costing you LOADS of money and of course a few years of time and then you are able to get a job where you start making money. With affiliate marketing you are still in the learning phase, if you give up then you will never make money but keep at it and maybe some day soon you will be making over $100 a day.

Also I would recommend trying different affiliate programs. Try being an affiliate for something you like. Clickbank is full of paid guides and although there are many people that make loads of money with them, I would not recommend it for new affiliate marketers.

    Hope this helps

      Linda,

Your blog is about Making Money Online... your blog's name is in fact "Fast Cash Blog"... you post articles on How to Make Money Online...

... Yet, as per your own confession, you don't make any money online yourself...

... Don't you see the incongruity here? don't you see you're following the wrong path? don't you see you're trying to sell something that A) you're not familiar with and B) it's not even working for you? don't you see you should be blogging about topics you are knowledgeable about? How will you be able to sell me ANYTHING if you don't know anything about it yourself? Don't you see you're simply spamming the internet with stuff that doesn't add any value? How exactly do you expect to make money from that?

For your own good, reconsider your online business, or else you will NEVER make a cent online because you're not adding ANY value to the net. How could you, if you're preaching about topics that are not working for you?

      Please, give it some thought...

    Kysaan,

    Definitely agree with Andy, Zach, and several others here. One of the biggest things to remember is;

A Buyer's Mindset is the Enemy!

Definitely don't feel stupid, I recently fell for one of Anik's products...Profit Jackpot, as I thought it would save me time and the concept of an autopilot or automated blog builder seemed all-the-rave! (NOT EVEN...I refunded 2 days later!)

Being I started in March and have only have had 4 sales to date, I strongly suggest you 'think' of the long-term rewards of the seemingly discouraging results today.

There are many components to creating online success, and sadly you need to steer clear from becoming "GURU BAIT!"

There are some great teachers out there, Kelly Felix -"Bring the Fresh" , Chris Farrell -"ChrisMentorMe[dot]com, and then there's the expensive courses like Eben Pagan's -GURU MasterClass...not to mention some great WSO's.

Point being, not ALL marketing is ethical, and much of what you'll find out there is pure garbage, like all these 'hyped-up' predator's flooding your email box with the next 1-click, push button, 'done-for-you' ...BS!

The key is adjusting your mindset to take your experience (both good and bad) and ask; "How may I be of service to someone else?

Take your experience with Commission Domination for example. Don't dwell on the wasted time, the deception, or the feeling you we're stupid...instead, realize How You can benefit from the fact you'll likely never buy another product from Anik Singal again! (I know I won't!)

Then, put yourself in another persons shoes and 'capitalize' on that experience, and use it as leverage as "What NOT to do!"

Another words, what product, service, or solution can you provide to others?

As stated above, find your passion, and become the authority one niche at a time. The more ethical you are, the longer it often takes (in my experience) because it requires research.

I think we all (at least I did) assumed we'd just paste links, banners, and ads all over the internet, and within 60-90 days quit our jobs.

    It's possible, but unlikely.

Heck, 6 months ago I didn't know what an auto-responder was, or how to use FileZilla....now I'm structuring my sales funnels, assembling video-squeeze pages, building a list, performing SEO, and slowly getting better at design and presentation.

After much research, I bought a domain 7 days ago (to add to roughly 95 others...lol) and applied everything I learned. Already, that site is on page 3 and I haven't even started submitting articles or building back-links yet.

I am seriously considering writing my first eBook based solely on mindset, and the importance of "knowing your audience."

Become an information expert, so much as to say to yourself; "I am providing solutions to other peoples problems, needs, and desires."

Yeah, I have had to hide my spending to a degree too... don't expect your better half to support your efforts when at first there is little return.

Instead, shop wisely for the tools, software, and information you need (spend minimal) and focus on the short term investments today becoming long-term assets and residual income streams in the not so distant future.

You can definitely build a strong future (even a retirement online) once the focus shifts to solving other peoples needs, over that of 'gravitating' to your own... I want's, I need's, or I got to have's. (I made all these mistakes)

Again, mindset is the key. From today forward, concentrate on something you are passionate about (i.e. cooking, clothing, animals, spaceships or quantum physics) the beauty is there are millions whom have similar interests...pick one, and become the authority!

    Content is king!

    Here's my formula...

    1. Research "Targeted" Keywords (example: Bed-Bug-Bites =368k broad searches a month, 135k exact searches, with low competition on just "G" alone!)
    2. Search for Relative [EMD] -exact match domain(s) - I bought the .co for the above (haven't built it yet...LOL)
    3. Research Products/Solutions/Marketability -solve their problem!
    4. WP Site/Blog...write quality content (*see #5) -All-in-one SEO plugin
    5. SEO- On-Page SEO, Meta Data, sitemap, index, and structure a "G" friendly site!
    6. FTC -Include: Disclaimer|Privacy|Terms|CB Disclaimer
    7. Article Marketing (Free Traffic) -spin, submit, rinse and repeat
    8. Build Massive Backlinks (web 2.0 sites)...Blogger, blog.com, social media
    9. Advertise -UsFree Ads, Banner Exchanges, Signature Links, Social Bookmarking, RSS Syndications...etc
    10. Freshen content (every 30 days) add a post, check links, etc...
Naturally, this is a 'brief overview' -but after months of exhausting research, this is my blueprint for now. While it's a lot of work, I believe the long-term rewards will be HUGE!

When I look back just 6 months ago, I am fueled by the entire experience, as what seemed impossible is now becoming a reality.

Just Don't Quit... as You get close to succeeding that's when challenge increases, and people especially will often try to thwart your efforts...stay true to You!

    All the Best,

    Art

PS- For the record, I couldn't afford Eben's course ($1997), but I am going to get ChrisMentorMe.com Training this month to review it, as he guarantees you'll make sales or your money back. *Only when Chris makes this ever popular promise, I actually believe him! -So while I am hoping to learn something, I am more interested in maintaining integrity within the industry

    Ok

Maybe you need to take some time to study, don't buy anything, you can find plenty of free information on most aspects of finding/ making a product, promoting it and driving traffic to your offer etc.

Give yourself a solid foundation in the basics or if you have cash, hire people to do the bits you are not good at. Before you hire anyone you need to learn the fundamentals well.

    Most important tip.

Find inspiration, read about people like Stalone when he started out and he could not get an acting job but he ended up writing his own film so he could star in it...

    or

Colonel Sanders who had to make over 1000 visits to find a partner for his chicken recipe.

I'm not sure how true these stories are but they are very motivational.

Remember it's hard work but it's also ment to be fun

Learn your trade well then promote like hell lol

      Dude, WTF!?!

You only have three posts here, all within 20 minutes of each other, each with just a few lines, all just pitching your affiliate link below in your siggy?

That was what Kysaan was specifically NOT looking for, more guru crap. If you are just going to post forum spam, don't bother. If you are going to offer some valuable insight, and be a part of this community, then welcome aboard.

  • Heres some advice form another newbie that has not bought many ebooks or softwares although i do have a ton of free ebooks and trials on softwares.. my strategy is to find a way of making money such as adsense, amazon etc etc theres tons so pick one that interests you, then learn the basics but try to find gurus in that field and learn as much from them as possible i have found a lot of the top gurus are willing to give away tons of tips for free on there blogs/sites or by submitting your email.. then once you have the basics set your self a goal and a path then build a site but first do extensive keyword research i dont just mean find a keyword that has good search volume.. i spend hours finding KW's that will make my job easier see below,

search volume - over 2000 local exact searches & cpc £0.70+ & cpc comp medium to high you can get all this on google keyword tool..
and once i find keywords that match above i use below method to filter down my keywords
1- How relevant the pages on page one are to your keyword and if there actually targeting that keyword or if they just have some keywords that match
2- Is the keyword in the title & description
3- top 10 on page one of google have lower pr then pr 3
4- Top Spot has very low backlinks less then 200
if top spot has a ton of links Check the pr of backlinks if there all n/a or 0 then build links that are high pr and throw in some edu & gov links if you dont know how to find theys use this
(site:.gov inurl:blog"post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in")
    (site:.edu inurl:blog"post a comment" "keyword")
If you would like to know more about finding backlinks inbox me and il send you my list,

My focus is amazon and adsense so i spend all my time learning and improving my strategy and testing different strategy's to improve rankings and own knowledge.. i personally think theys two ways are the easiest but thats my opinion,
Long post but in a nut shell pick one way and keep going no one makes money at first but eventually you will : ) iv been doing IM for 5 months or so now and have made about £300 but my earnings are growing..
Like they say ROME WASNT BUILT IN A DAY!

Maybe you are trying to embrace many niches.
Just you shoul begin again, with you have learned. Recap all you have been doing, point your goods and trash your bads. If you talk a bout somethig you are passionated you will have more oppotunities t understand how you can help people. and ideas will come alone.
The make money methods do not work if you do not create your OWM strategy based on that. You have to develop your brand, your method. And do not give up.

Forget the past! What happened yesterday and the day before can not be changed consider it the studying (and associated debt if that is the case) that you take on in going to university before you get a job. You have just left university and are now looking at the job (niche) market before deciding on the one you want.

Once you have decided that (CB if you so choose) dedicate all your available time to succeeding in that job. In the case of CB you need a few things, the best by far isa responsive list so start building. But don't build a list purely for CB purposes and nobody is going to buy if all you are offering is affiliate links to other products, build credibility by offerng something to your list, something they don't have, your unique selling point.

The other ways you can succeed in CB marketing is creating a landing page and driving traffic to it. In my opinion, you can spend $100 on a crappy ebook these days, but if you spend that money on a copywriter that knows his beans, well that can offer you a heck of a lot more benefit.

You could also do the tried and tested review site although affiliate links do tend to reduce the credibility factor so find another way.

Step 1: Detach from the outcome
Step 2: Focus on People, not money. Who are you trying to help? What are their needs?
Step 3: Find or develop products and resources that will help these people and fill their needs
Step 4: Build and infrastructure (web site) to attract these people and deliver the resources
Step 5: Get conversion tracking in place so you know where every sale and signup comes from
Step 6: Test different marketing techniques
Step 7: Adjust your marketing based on the results
Step 8: Continue building your community of people and offering resources and products on an ongoing basis.

Ahh Kysaan, don't feel bad & don't be too hard on yourself. As has been said, stop reading all the hyped up sales pages promising you the moon at the click of a button. This IM stuff is a real biz and like any business, it takes real work and commitment, and yup, some mistakes along the way.

If you're on any email lists that only send you affiliate promotions & no real helpful content, then unsubscribe from them immediately or else set up some email rules/filters & file those away as something for reference when you're setting up your own auto-responders & list building.

Stick to the forums for useful relevant info without the BS.

    1. have a positive mindset (you could be given the most turnkey method known to man, but if you're negative and have the wrong mindset, your chance(s) of failure will be great).

    2. visit this wonderful forum before you dive into a product and just read some of the reviews so you can get an idea of what to expect if you decide to buy the software.

Agree with the MMO niche - if you aren't making money then don't promote it!

Stop, rethink, choose a niche that you know something about (and like), CHOOSE ONE METHOD and stick with it.

This process will take you a good 6 months - 1 year to figure out and maybe you'll have started to earn a decent living by the end. But there is a greater probability that you wont. BUT you will have learned the skills that will take you through the next 12 months .....

Once the money starts it snowballs pretty quickly. You just need to get through that first year.

I suggest that you get started now creating niche sites or having them created like what I do for people and sit on them. The more the better. I am serious. Do the math...

If you have 300 niche sites that earn $2.00 per day that is $600 per month. SERIOUS!

It is easy to earn $2 per day from a niche site and not so easy to earn $50 or $100 a day from them.

The more the better that is what I do. I have been successful ever since. Like you I started out and worked hard which resulted in NOTHING!

I started creating niche sites and learned that I enjoy it. It was actually fun and boy did I learn a lot of cool things along the way. Everything from a good tooth brush to aqua gardens which is one of my newest niches by the way.

Anyway, find a niche and stick to it.

or Find a problem, create a solution to that problem and sell it. Think outside the box. I am one of the most honest people you will ever meet. I do not mind sharing my niches, or how I make my money. It is simple and that is why I try my best to help people. I have been there. I have had nothing before. Now I have a lot to show for my hard work and dedication.

Work...who works anymore? Not me. I love what I do and earn a lot of money doing it.

I hope this is enough motivation to get you to start doing something better and to keep you going. It will come just give it time.

      Jonathan,
That sounds very interesting. But wouldn't one have to know how to create niche sites. Also, I am wondering how you earn $2 per site (pardon my ignorance - my name says it all)? And doesn't it cost to build a site? Please explain. Thanks.

it's always hard when you are just starting out in IM. I know I did!

Anyway, just an advice that helped me.

stop everything you are doing right now.

take a blank piece of white paper.

think of all the IM methods that you have learned.

write down what you like the most.

    simplified it.

set a clear and achievable goal.

focus on ONE project at a time.

get one more buddy to join your team.

before you sleep, meditate on the thoughts and allow your subconscious mind to work during your sleep.

after you wakes up.. try to unlock all those thoughts again.

You will be surprised how powerful this is.

    Many people failed because..
    1. They have no focus - no high concentration - easily distracted by the next 'wave' of secret formulas from the non gurus etc.

    2. No goals = No long term motivation = No direction. Our minds needs visual destination for it to 'see' and achieve. Don't be a headless chicken! You will just die of exhaustion!

    3. No outsourcing! The world smartest man outsource the smartest academic people to help his even more successful.

I think i will stop here. Feel free to contact me if u need further encouragement.

    Good Luck!

    Dennon.

I agree with the others who have suggested branching out into other niches...

Have you taken a look at the Ebay Partner Network affiliate program? I visited your blog, and I noticed that you were having trouble getting accepted for some affiliate programs due to your location. I don't think you would have this problem with the EBPN. You are allowed to participate in their various programs throughout the world regardless of your location.

You should at least check it out. It's not quite as good as it once was now that they pay per click rather than a percentage of profits, but it can still provide a nice consistent income.

    Here are a few tips:

    1) Find a good sub-niche within a niche. It doesn't have to be huge - just something that people may buy online. I have sites in many different niches. You can promote almost anything that eBay offers on their site, so look for something that interests you.

    2) Pick a good domain name. The domain name should consist of words that relate to your niche. It's tougher these days to find such names, but it can still be done in many obscure niches. Try to pick a .com name if it's available. Stay away from .info because they're cheap and often used by spammers.

    3) Find a good Ebay affiliate script. There are dozens of these. I've used Build a Niche Store and PHPBay. There's also WordBay - and many others. Search for "ebay affiliate script" to locate them.

    4) Customize your site. This requires a little creativity - and maybe a bit of technical aptitude. You can always outsource this work. You may find someone here in the Warrior Forum that would be willing to do the work.

    5) Create content around your niche. This includes text content, videos, etc. Many of the scripts either work within WordPress or act as a custom content management system. This makes adding content quite simple. You'll find help with content throughout this forum.

    6) Get accepted into the eBay Partner Network affiliate program. It's best to have a good content-rich site to get accepted. Here's a link to some tips on getting accepted into the program: http://www.phpbay.com/342/how-to-get...r-network.html

    7) Promote your site. There's plenty of advice throughout the Warrior Forum on how to do this.

    8) Also check out Amazon scripts if you're in an area that allows you to be an associate (affiliate). Their program is quite good, too.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some of these scripts are no longer supported by their original creators, so you'll have to get support through 3rd party forums and blogs. You'll have to search for specific topics to find the best advice. You can always PM me if you have a question, too. I'm currently revising one of the scripts to work with an updated RSS format.

Also... I wanted to offer some encouragement. Unless you're a super genius (very rare trait), it will likely take a little while to begin making decent money online. Just like anything else, it requires specialized knowledge that you gain through educating yourself and practice.

Practice is the key. You'll learn more by trying and failing than you will by reading a dozen ebooks on the subject. Don't be afraid to fail. Don't be embarrassed by failure. We all fail at times. The key to your success is perseverence.

If you want it bad enough, you will succeed. With the advice you'll find right here in this forum, you can make your goals a reality if you're willing to keep on keeping on.

    Best of luck to you.

I guess you're just purchasing the products rather than doing anything with it.

Less is more when it comes to internet.

What I mean is that you've to learn how to focus.
If you go about reading all the systems that dozens
of so called gurus present you online you will get
confused and frustrated because everyone will have a
    different strategy to follow.

What you need to do is pick up one system from one
person whom you trust and get started. Focus all your
energy, efforts, time and money to learn and master
    that one system.

That system can be either affiliate marketing, information
marketing, auctions, creating your own products or google
    adsense.

All you need to do is pick up one and take it till the
end. You will be less confused, more confident and your
    success will be super fast.

Imagine what would happen in an offline world where
you would decide to open a garments store then after
a few days shut it down and then again decide to open
a watch shop and again after few days shut it down and
decide to open a fast food restaurant.

You would be highly confused, waste time and mess up
    everything.

Similarly in an online world if you are deciding to
go with one system it is important you stick with it
till the end and turn a deaf hear to everything else
till you make that thing work.

I use a simple system that works for me. I personally
focus on building my list of subscribers through
    squeeze pages.

Then I build a relationship with them by sharing quality
    information.

Then I promote them my products and services that adds
value to what they are doing and helps them solve their
    problems easily.

Finally I focus in driving traffic to my squeeze pages
    and my system works smoothly.

Do you know what your problem is?

It is about setting up a powerful money making system.

If you don't have a system that churns out profits
and if you focus in driving traffic to that system
    you are sure to fail.

The basic formula of systems goes in this way...

    1. First you have to focus in setting up a system.
Your system might be a simple website with a squeeze page,
giveaway report, follow up emails and around 10 to
20 products to promote. This is how my system looks
    like.

    2. Test out your system. You have to test whether
your system generates p*rofits. You have to be sure
enought that if you invest $1 in your system it will
make you $xxx. That number can be either $5, $10 or
    whatever.

You have to be sure that if you invest 1 hour working
on your system it will make you $xxx, again that can
    be anything.

Once you know what is the return on investment of your
system, whether that investment is either time or m*oney
you're now ready to get traffic.

    3. Now speed up your system.

For example: Your testing tells you that writing 100
articles generates 1000 visitors and 300 leads.
300 leads makes you $300 profits every month. Now you
can easily go about writing 500 or even 1000 articles
every month and increase your traffic and p*rofits.

    4. Finally reinvest your profits.

If we take the above example, you can write 100 articles
and generate $300 every month. Now take back $100 from
your profits and get a team of freelancers to write
more articles for you. That will in turn generate more
traffic and profits and the system will work on autopilot
    without your involvement.

This is how you can grow your system to the level you
    wish.

Once you have a working system in place you can pick
up one traffic source at a time, whether it is...

    * Article marketing
    * Search engine optimization
    * Blogging
    * Forum posting
    * Email solo ads
    * Ad swaps
    * Google adwords, etc

    Kysaan - Brad here.

I will add my comments for what they are worth to you.

First, the fact you are still here shows you have a burning desire - maybe very deep in you but it exists. Put your wallet away. Start searhing and studying the key players on the internet and suck as much out of their FREE STUFF as you can.

Yaro Starak has a great blogging program and some terrific podcasts. I would also encourage you to look at Internet Business Mastery dot com. Jay and Sterling are the primo cheerleaders of the internet. I can not say enough positive about all their FREE stuff.

Chris Farrell has a fantastic program and is about ready to set up a mentoring program - little pricy - but the point is you want to "graduate" from one point to another.

Pat Flynn at Smart Passive Income dot com is real down to earth and has a lot of very practical and useful information for me - and I suspect for you as well.

Take the time to absorb this FREE stuff. Pat, Yaro, Chris and any other ethical marketer will tell you streight away, this take time. Learning then doing then the money will slowly build.

Don't be down on yourself - there are tons of us who fall for the shiny penny in the stream expecting it to be the "solution" that will make it all work just right.

My experience is that it just takes a lot of grunt work and time. You obviously have stick tuitaveness or you wouldn't have asked the questions.

Tell you what you send me an email at brad@rmsinternetmarketing.com and you and I will work together building our skills and ability to earn a living on the internet for our families and our own self respect.

There you have it. One, you got what it takes. Two, there are lots of free items and good people out there with what you need. Three, you have a standing offer to form a team to learn.

For what it is worth - I sincerely see a major shift in the market coming - you and I will be part of it - all we have to do is persevere and keep learning.

    Cheers !

Relax Kysaan, 2 months is too short period of time, especially if you are newbie.

For me, it's took 4 months to make first money.

Just don't give up. Stick with something at least for 6 months, you will learn a lot and you will learn how IM works.

Work hard, but don't work for money.

I began by writing content for others. I made a nice income but was simply exchanging my time for $'s.

My biggest mistake was not creating a list.

I am only just beginning to look at other methods to make a more sustainable online income.

Consider the past as your education - you have already learned something valuable, you have learned what doesn't work!

Move on. Why not have a go at The Challenge, which is a free course that has helped lots of people make a structured start in Internet Marketing.

Unsubscribe from all the lists that only offer hype. But keep the ones that offer helpful tips.

Good luck and I'm sure that in the future, you will be back to share your success.

Thre very powerful and valid points from Karen here. I must admit I'm guilty of the first one myself. As I'm switching from one autoresponder to a new one, I haven't made the effort to learn the new one yet. I know this should be Priority One.

    Hi Kysaan,
Just to make you feel better, we are on the same boat. I spent more than $3k with 0 income. I've learned so much with the money I've spent even though a lot of them are BS. What I've come to a conclusion is to follow 1 system that suites you best and keep going.

    Hi,
I saw your post and could really relate to it. I've been there.
I've tried many different things, being broke at the same time.

I just wanted to let you know that your not alone and the fact that you
are on the warrior forum is a huge bonus. I did not find it until in the last year and this is after several years of spending way too much money in order to obtain results.

The fact that you asked for help here shows me that you are willing to learn. Learning is a bit part of the battle. Never stop asking questions and learning from other people's questions.

Before you consider purchasing anything, stop yourself and come to the warrior forum in order to see what people are saying. Don't waste another dime. I wish I had learned this earlier.

Learn how to use and master the free research tools that are out there. For example, Google External Keyword tool is a great help. Do your research well. Exploit and breach the low competition keywords first.

Persistence. Don't give up. When something works, ask yourself why. Focus where the iron is hot, where you have having a little success, even if it is one sale. This is what I did. I did not know a lot. In fact at times I was not sure why something worked. I had to learn. For example, if I had a site or page that got a few sales, then I poured my energy into that.

Many times I would get carried away by the latest fad or training program, neglecting that which was already working a bit. I had to return to the bread and butter things again and again and repeat, rinse and do again.

Don't strive to be rich (that is a byproduct). Instead focus on small objectives that make up your larger strategy. Small accomplishments make up big ones. Success is in the road to reaching your goal.

Anyway, keep pressing one, asking those questions (a student for life), learning from others, acknowledging failures (that is okay - you learn from them), and press on. There is only one direction -- forward!

    Hi Kysaan,

One of the big pit falls for new people is not focusing. As Robert Kiyosaki says.
    F- Follow
    O- One
    C- Course
    U- Until
    S- Successful

You listed over 7 courses in only a 2 month period. That's crazy!

Choose 1 course and build one very targeted website and build it out.

Im guessing your not getting much traffic to your websites as you won't have much content on them.

If your not getting traffic then you won't be getting sales.

Also get some perspective. IM is no different to any other industry. Name one other professional industry where after 2 months training you know exactly what your doing?

IM is a life choice, not a get rich quick scheme.

    All the best

    Dear Warrior

I was in your shoes when I started my online career. First of all we should learn and follow a proven method to succeed regardless to the niche. Instead of doing all traffic methods together, I would say try one by one and track your ads to know which method is working better. Never give up your dreams, stick on it with commitment, proper mindset and persistence.

This is a trap that unfortunately many beginners fall for, and to an extent I was also like this when I started out the first time round. Yep, this is my second time round with the IM game, a few years ago I was younger, more naive and to be quite frank, very impatient.

You cannot base your Internet Marketing fundamentals on just the money my friend. Yes, initially that is what draws us all in, the money, the freedom, the fact you're your own boss, etc.

You need to look at this as a sign that you need to expand marketing (perhaps use social media, facebook groups, twitter, forums), break down tasks that are achievable and realistic, build on that, and overtime you will get your lucky break. I'm far from the finished product, I mean I've only been back into the IM game for 6months now and it was only 2 days ago I made my first commission from amazon...guess how much? $3.17...it wasn't the money that got me all tingly inside, it was the fact that I've cracked a system that appears to work, perhaps its luck, perhaps its not...either way I had to work very hard (and still am with limited resources), the most valuable thing you can give your business is your time! To sum it all up in a nutshell mate, treat this like a LONG TERM business!

It's not a matter of if you are going to make it, you will if you put everything you physically and mentally can into this...and trust me, you will look back and say "boy am I glad I stuck with it" when you're out of the rat race and doing the things that only others can watch on and envy.

It's not failure that shapes you, it's the way you handle failure that shapes you!

Best wishes, and just keep at it...just remember, if you are ever in doubt, just get yourself back over to this forum, myself and fellow warriors are always willing to help!

I was at this for 20 months and 12 days before I made my first sale as an affiliate. Don't feel bad about not being able to make sales, this will shape you. It's what seperates the strong and weak, you have been at it for 2 months and seem like you wont to give up I was at it for 20! You just have to ride it out, everything that you do that fails is ok. It's an educational experience and will actually help you down the line.

Evaluate what you are doing now. Why isn't it making sales? What can be improved?

Take a look at someone who is doing something successfuly and ask yourself 'Can I do this better?'

If the answer is yes, then take action. Make your first priority giving undeniable value and then the money will folow shortly after.

This business is not for the faint of heart! I have been frustrated and discouraged so many times, and still do get that way some days. Just keep your head up and keep pressing on. If you quit, you absolutely will get no where. Just try and look at each process of your marketing strategy, be sure the product you are selling is something you would buy yourself, and try to learn from everything you do along the way. This forum is an excellent place to learn, and the people here are very helpful and knowledgeable. Wish you the best!

Believe me you will make money one day no matter how grim it looks now. Just keep working at it. Choose and focus on one Internet Business e.g. CPA offers, Affiliate Programs, Ebay and learn as much as you can about it and how to promote using both free and paid methods. IM is not sustainable initially so you need to have a job while testing the waters on the net. Whatever you do don't give up altogether. To your Success!

i would suggest just trying to learn as many unique/proven ways of generating traffic as you can because when you can generate leads on demand, you will build your list and then as you build a relationship with your list...you can start promoting affiliate Clickbank products to them.
