Seizing an opportunity as a Newbie!!!

How's it Warriors!

I'm a newbie and i've realised that i need to make it a habit to read posts in the forum to up my game!

Anyhow i want to set up a music website & the content is lyrics, basically people log into my site to search for lyrics from african artists...i know the idea is so 2006 but where i'm at the lyric websites are either of bad taste or the website is down or coming soon etc... To me these guys don't have any idea how to run this business and i still see potential so i want to take over and make money in the process!

I would like advice on:
1. who to approach i.e. artist themselves or their recording stables & how do i pitch the idea to them...do i offer to pay beforehand or after the site is up?
2. How can i make money from this idea [i'm still learning the vocab e.g. adsense, affiliate ,google adverts & so on]?
3. How do i advertise my site when it's up i.e. on the social sites
4. What data to collect to prove that this is serious business? [number of people searching for lyrics worldwide]

And any other comment/suggestion will be appreciated,

    Good luck with this undertaking, I don't know if you have looked into how to monetize such a site, I have to suspect the revenues may be small compared to one of the main popular music sites. If you are not doing it as purely a labor of love you might carefully review the revenue sources of other lyric sites as part of your business analysis.

    There's certainly a unique opportunity to provide translations to songs that are foreign to the majority of the world, you could examine the poetic qualities of excerpts of the songs while perhaps not tranpling so hard on their copyrights.

    I hope someone experienced in the field can provide more useful answers, in te mean time I did run across a couple of interesting links.

    Hi guys i'm also new I was wondering on couple things.

    Recently I bought Instant site launcher and I need aweber and a hosting account.
    just wondering if I bought aweber with visa debit card monthy what would happen after a month? Would I have to pay again or dose it go automatically.

    for the hosting i'm thinking about Ipage its very cheap and I can domain away.
    and I was wondering if I can cancel any time with aweber if I didn't need it any more.
