No Sales Out Of 252 Visitors...Any Suggestions?

Hello,

So I got my NMOC style blog on page one of google for a variation of the product name keyword and so far in Jan have had 252 visitors and no sales.

My site consists of actual user feedback from Amazon.com (conduit method style) and I have a link on the first and last paragraph and picture of product.

I don't have any banners of the product or anything like that...that seems like a really low conversion rate for someone typing in the name of the product

Any suggestions?

How many actually click thru to the product sales page out of the 252 visitors to your site? I'm assuming you're an affiliate promoting someone else's product?

      Hi,

Sometimes affiliate products just don't convert. It could be the merchant is keeping your commissions or the product just may suck.

Either way, I wouldn't take it to personal. I would start working on my next site and not worry to much about it.

I see several people asking you to post the link ... DON'T POST THE LINK

PM it to the kind people who have replied if you look at their past posts and believe they can help. But posting it makes it public to thousands of others and your niche is shot forever.

We are not having a private conversation here ;-)

Who would copy an unprofitable website?

IMO if you're asking for help, post the darn link so we can help. It doesn't really make any sense to write a post that says "help my site's not converting" and not post a link.

      My 2 cents.

Assuming that you know the product you are promoting converts, then I would suggest you track and test everything else.

Make sure to track all the outgoing links independently to see if people are clicking through the text links, banners, top, left, etc...

Then grab some sort of split-testing code (Google page optimizer might work) and split-test headlines, banners and everything else out there.

Your job as an affiliate is to pre-sell the product you are promoting and sell the click to the offer... the actual conversion is out of your hands.

        Good luck,

        -G

Sorry, I'm with Rosie on this one.
It's not the website that's of concern -- it's the NICHE.

Look at the layout of your site and try to improve upon it.
Do you have an optin box on your site?
You can try to give a free valuable product base on your niche.
After all, if they don't click them might go for the freebie and you can build your list.

Yeah, the websites fine.... id say just try with some different niches untill you get one that clicks. It often comes down to trial and error, sometimes a niche just doesn't work.

I think we would be able to offer you more accurate advice if you just post a link to the site. Then we can just take a look at it and give you our thoughts

Maybe the targeted products do not covert well or instantly meaning that people tend to do major research from a variety of sources, before buying them.

Are you displaying Amazon reader Feedback using a Data Feed? You can't be sure what will be shown, hence this can provide unoptimized content leading to the de-motivation of buyers because a lot amazon reviews often leave a devastatingly negative critique of products, this can discourage buying of the product.

The reason why you got no sales with 252 visitors might be one or more of the following:

    1. Your blog doesn't convert good enough. You need to re-write the copy on your blog to PRESELL your visitor first. Don't try to give them a sales pitch because no one likes to be sold. You want to warm them up first by giving content that is helpful for your visitor. Then monetization comes later.

If your blog is about product review, try to include PROS and CONS of it. Nothing is 100% perfect. You want to put non-bias review content so your prospects are more likely to read and then click through the product link which leads them to sales page later.

    2. A sales page of product owner itself -- in case of affiliate product, does not convert much enough. In this case you can't do anything of it but finding new product to promote.

What to tell you whether new affiliate product you're gonna select to promote is good or not is by reading their sales page and feel yourself if you want to spend more time reading through it with curiosity. If so, that might be the good one for you to promote.

    3. The way you drive traffic to your site. Like what I mentioned above, you'll need to be a really helpful person first. Give a free valuable stuff to them first and you'll be able to reap the profit sooner or later.

    Hope this help.
