Outsourcing Overseas: Does It Hurt

I know a lot of people outsource seo services overseas. I was wondering if you think google has any kind of filter or something where they can tell that link building, article or directory submissions, etc. is from someone residing in india, for instance. Is there any penalty placed on these links? Are there any special precautions that need to be taken such as making sure your overseas outsourcers are working behind a proxy server? I'd appreciate your thoughts on this.

I have been working as a SEO worker for last 1.5 yrs and what my experience say that Google will just give your site punishment when they see lots of unethical works are being conducted behind your site.Your SEO contractor must not use any Bl**khat techniques and should follow some general and ethical link building techniques and they should not try to build many backlinks per day and there should be diversification in the backlinks sources.

So before hiring an overseas contractor ask them to show some of their previous similar works and also consider their reviews by other employers before hiring them if you are trying to hire them from a freelancing marketplace.

If you are creating your links ethically (for lack of a better word), it should not be an issue where they are being created from. If there were, we, here in the "overseas" would never have ranked any website on Google.

All you need to do is to make sure your seo efforts are conducted in a "clean way" so to speak.

Keep in mind that 99% of Google ranking and rating functions are automated. The only time a Google employee sees anything is when multiple complaints are filed by users.

In most cases, Googlebot does not proactively penalize page links -- it simply ignores them. When a webmaster or blogmaster gets involved in adverse scripted manipulation is generally when Google gets serious about manually auditing a website or blog.
