Making members affiliates

Hi All
got a wordpress membership site that I want to make work harder. Want some software, preferably a plugin, that I can use to get members to sign up as affiliates for the site. So they tell friends and family and make a few bucks out of it if they sign up via their link.
Any ideas? Or at least a path of least resistance

    Steve,
The quick and easy system I show in the videos will allow you to run your affiliate program through PayDotCom. And the videos are on the subject of setting up your Wordpress blog as a membership site.

    pushbuttonsuccessformula.com

I also commissioned a Wordpress plugin which automatically protects any posts or pages, and works with PayDotCom to automatically manage the membership, but you still have to run the affiliate program through PayDotCom.

Unfortunately, the plugin stopped working correctly on the newest version of Wordpress (2.7).

If it's something you want to fiddle with, or if you are interested in getting somebody to fix it, PM me and I will send it to you.

I was not going to do anymore to update the plugin. I would just rather use the password protection feature in Wordpress, and set up a site using the system I show in the videos.

If you are looking for a decent solution to manage everything for you right now, and you are willing to spend a little money, I would tell you to use Rapid Action Profits.

There is an addon for RAP which creates membership sites, but it's not very easy when it comes to content management.

There is also an addon for RAP which allows you to use Paypal subscriptions on your products, thus running your affiliate program through RAP, and setting up your Wordpress blog as the product.

I would be happy to help you set that up if you decide to go that route and want some help.

Success is an endless series of falling down and getting back up again. Sometimes, you fall a little less. Sometimes, you fall a little more. Keep getting back up. Keep moving forward.

    yours2u,

I just ran into this problem myself. I have a giveaway
event launching soon with a referral credits system.

I looked EVERYWHERE and couldn't find any relief.

So, my referral software was custom written specifically
for my event. I wouldn't recommend this option.

Here's a good option that I would recommend, highly:

    1. Get yourself a copy of Wordpress Wishlist's Member
    Plug-In. (It's $100.)

WordPress Membership Plugin :: Membership Software WishList Member

This plug-in will control your membership 100% automatically,
including content protection, different membership levels,
and handling integration with your payment processor.

    2. Because it has built-in support for 1SC, you can setup
an affiliate program with them and it won't be seamless
but it will allow for a much easier setup -- the only missing
link is you'll have to direct new Wordpress signups to not
only pay through 1SC but also signup as an affiliate there.

I don't use 1SC for my membership sites using this plugin,
by the way. It uses unique URLs that should work fine
with any payment processor. So, maybe you can get a
very similar result using something other than 1SC.

I invested DOZENS of hours investigating this exact same
situation, so I hope this helps.

    Warm Regards,

    -William Clements
