Some one suggested that I do a search on youtube fore related subjects on each of my pages. Now what if I did this for 20 sites with 40 pages now won't some of my pages have blank videos on them if the persons that upload ssome decided to take them off youtube?

If it's for your cheating spouse site I think it's perfect as it is, laser focused and has a slightly "cloak and dagger" feel to it that is perfect for the subject. I wouldn't change a thing there ... except that you could maybe check the difference between "know" and "no", some people are put off by that kind of mistake. It should be "finally know what is going on" and "some need to know information".

But to return to your question ... How often do people take something off YouTube? Not often I would think. Why should they?

      Rosie ...

Using YouTube videos are a great way to add "value" to nice websites. I've done that in the past myself!

Now ... to answer your question ... if you embed a video from YouTube on your site and the user (or YouTube) takes it down, your visitors may either just see a blank, black box OR they will see the "thumbnail" of the video but when they hit it, the screen will turn black and say: "This Video Has Been Removed" (or something like that).

      Does it happen? Sometimes.

Sometimes the user themselves may remove the video (not sure why) OR sometimes the videos may be a violation of the terms of service with YouTube and YouTube removes them.

In general, you should be OK. But I would suggest you check your sites to be sure the videos are still active!

Why not download the videos and then feed them to your website yourself?
