Helllo guys i am writing an article about email marketing and i want to know who was the first internet marketer who said "the money is in the list"

Thanks for your help, i know is a stupid question but i want to know the answer.

    That is an old saying that dates back well before Internet marketing. IMers aren't the only ones with lists.

      Every marketer that sends an email has a relationship with their list. Common sense tells you that quality emails will result in a better relationship with your list.

        Eh,

        Go tell that to the 5 people that send me garbage e-mails every two days to try to make me buy their stuff.

        I would prefer a list of 500 quality buyers over a list of 50 000 Freebies seeker with a high refund rate.
