How big a problem is this getting to be?
posts them to article directories. I would like to find out if you
are getting anywhere with this, or you just decided to ignore it.
Today, I found someone who copied a recent article from ezine articles or
selfgrowth.com and is chopping it into 5 posts to his/her blog.
Now they do put the article name and my name at the top and that
is how I found it, but there is no sig file and there are three links
that go to different pages on their blog in my intro and first tip.
They have not done anything so far to the rest of the article -
it is not posted but they say that 5 tips will be posted.
This misuse of articles happens often enough that I am beginning
to wonder if it is worth bothering to write them to desist or not.
I often ignored this in the past as most of these have no contact
info.
I am taking a course right now that encourages people to use
other peoples articles and add to the article if it would repurpose
the information better but be sure to leave the sig file in. It
appears that linking in the article to one of his pages would be
acceptable as well. (He has some really good methods, but I
disagree with this).
From the author perspective, I find this annoying in both instances.
They are allowed to use it intact but not chop it up and add to, link
to things on their site, etc.
What they do before and after the article is their choice. Or have
the rules changed somehow, when I was not looking?
How big of a problem is this getting to be for you?
