How do I promote my website for sale?

I just posted my cupcakes website, and abs website network for sale on flippa - I'm not getting too many views. How do I promote it??? It's making good money, so I don't see why I don't have more hits at this point. There's only a few days left so getting a bit worried. Are their any free/inexpensive methods?

I'd be interested in taking a look, post the Flippa links so we can review your auctions.

Don't worry if you havn't recieved my bids or views just yet, most of the action happens on the last day.

With regards to free/inexpensive methods to maximise your auctions exposure:

    - Advertise the fact your website is for sale on the website itself.

    - Purchase the featured listing upgrade when that number in the top left of flippa is above 2,500. This costs $40, but you can potentially make a few hundred extra.

Check out my free sample in my signature for some last minute Flippa tips.

    Good luck!

      Flippa auction is: https://flippa.com/2641750-80-dollar...bsite-included

Thinking part of it has to due with the fact that one of the sites is a lemon cupcakes site. I'm not sure many people are looking for a cupcake site, lol.

I'll Take a look too. We are buying and selling websites constantly (usually building then selling, but still).

Good tips above. I would use the promo tools at Flippa to get some final day traffic.

It's a nice selection of websites, I've placed a bid to get the ball rolling :p

    Here is a few pointers:

    1. Upload an avatar, it shows that you are taking the process seriously and are willing to go the extra mile.

    2. Upload verified google analyitcs and not just screenshots, as these can be faked.

    3. Change howtogetabsinaweek.org analytics to a few days previous, so that the traffic goes up instead of down in the last day.

    4. Explain clearly in the beginning of the description that "this auction is for a collection of 15 automated adsense websites with a combined revenue of x"

    5. Change your description of traffic details to "Please see verified analytics attached" instead of stating they are "just estimates".

If you don't manage to sell the websites for the amount you wanted just let me know and I will flip them for you. Could be worth up to $800, but the auction needs some tweaking.

What you are experiencing is normal on Flippa. You will not get much activity until only a few hours are left on your auction. Flippa does have a built in way of site promotion if you look on the right hand sidebar of your auction you can promote the site via social media (facebook & twitter) and social bookmarking. Also, for $40 you can feature your auction for a limited time period which will definitely get more exposure, however, if you are dealing with a lower priced site it is hard to justify the price.

Remember, there are usually around 1,500 sites for sale so unless yours is really special you will just "blend in with the crowd" so to speak until the auction is about to end.

        Hi Cellcom,

Yes I'm not too familiar with selling on flippa, so it's good to know that there is still hope for the listing. I guess I am worrying a bit too much about it. Thanks highrank for all your advice. I am checking out your site now.

For some reason it's not letting me alter the listing anymore. Maybe it's too close to the end.

Either way, I'm just going to let it run it's course. If they don't sell for what I was hoping for, I'll just work at my job a few extra hours to get the money I need and keep the sites for passive income.

I did sell a site before, and you're right, I got most of my bids within the final 8 hours.

I am a bit too obsessive about these things..

It's over now, and looks like you got a good sale out of it, but i would've listed the site with the most revenue in your network as the main site.

The easiest way to make a lump sum profit is to sell off your profitable niche sites on Flippa. Period.
