The Best Email Marketing System

What are your opinions / thoughts on the best email marketing systems out there?

I've seen aweber, constant contact, mailchimp.... Which ones do you guys like the best & why?

Also does anyone offer an unlimited amount of email addresses to your campaign?

    i use aweber and 1shoppingcart.com

aweber is the best of breed in most peoples view (including mine).

i would not worry too much about the costs of more subscribers. while it will cost more, you will be making much more so it more than evens out. dont let that be the reason you choose a sub par service.

1shoppingcart.com is cheaper for higher numbers of subscribers, but its not as robust a system. the only reason i use it is because of the integration with other systems they have... i am lazy and its easier.

but in closing, dont go cheap on your AR service. if you do you will regret it, and it will cost you BIG money, subscribers, and probably leave a little egg on your face.

I've got some of the same questions.

I've recently been comparing Aweber, GetResponse, iContact, Imnica, and Mailchimp.

Although I've been told the monkey doesn't play well with affiliate marketing, I haven't heard too many pros and cons on the others.

    Let's see now...hmmm.

This is your very first post and you ask, quite transparently I might add, about the merits of various autoresponders. Then you end with these words that are totally disconnected from the two opening questions:

"Also does anyone offer an unlimited amount of email addresses to your campaign?"

If you're legit and not a spammer looking for customers, then I suggest that you make your second post something of value. Take your time, read the forum rules, read quality to posts to get the feel of things, then come back here and either ask intelligent questions, or make an intelligent contribution.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Brent.

LOL... winnerone I am not a spammer. I am definitely a person that is just looking for answers. I didn't know there was an unwritten rule to what you could post as your 1st post in any forum...???.... We all have to start at 0 at each place we begin online or in real life!
Honestly, I am a web developer that has a client that is using expressionengine's mailing list module & their subscriber base has grown over 60k subscribers, the built in module is not cutting it & the research I have done thus far just wasn't cutting it as well.

Most of all email campaigns I've seen max out at 25k users....

So I figured, why not ask the experts.??.. by no means am I an expert of IM. So that's why I'm here.

Thank you everyone else for the input, it is greatly appreciated!

        I can only recommend Aweber.

Yes, they are more expensive, but it's the only list provider where I actually receive most of the e-mails from.

They have a team whose sole task it is to keep in touch with big mail providers to make sure their e-mails get delivered.

I use aweber. If you want an autoresponder that allows unlimited subscribers for one price, take a look at trafficwave.net

I always hear aweber, especially from anyone in IM.

    What about the 2nd question?

Does anyone offer an unlimited # of email addresses in their campaigns? Or should I say an affordable option?

trafficwave.net offers unlimited number of subscribers for one low price. But I have not used them, so I can't comment on quality of their service.

no company can offer unlimited amounts of service for a super low price and give you the same quality. think for a minute guys. this is not rocket science. more expensive does not always mean better, but like i said in post #2 your AR system is not the place to save a few dollars. it will bite you in the you know what if you cheap out on this.

awebers service is $150 for 25k subscribers. if you cant make several times that per month in any niche, you need to find a different career choice besides internet marketing.

mailchimp and imnica are not good...stay away (in my opinion). getresponse is solid (i use them as a backup), but not as good as aweber.

i have aweber and 1shoppingcart (which is not bad at all...less features, but i said that already) in fact, on 2 mailings last week, more aweber went into spam box than 1shoppingcart.

look at the date on the articles claiming 1shoppingcart has poor deliverability. most will be several years old. i have used them about 12 years, i know.

AWeber is by far the best for our business - as far as paying for extra emails I agree with one of the above posta - you will be making more, so it will not matter to you.

If you are concerned about that read the FAQ section on AWeber or if you cannot find the answer send them a ticket and you will find the cost

Good luck in your new venture!

If you're in affiliate marketing, beware of Mail Chimp - check out their TOS as it clearly states affiliate marketers NOT allowed using their service...

I use AWeber and am very pleased.

Do you guys think that email marketing is not as effective as it used to be?
Recently I want to have a try on it!

    Hi,

Check out Imnica autoresponders. They offer excellent value - Aweber is fine for people grandfathered in but their prices now are really expensive.

I personally use MailChimp and their support is excellent.

Aweber is maybe the best, but it also the most expensive imo.

Mailchimp need too much button to click before I can send one email. Lots of negative review also.

Imnicamail cheap, but all my email go straight to spam folder (I use gmail). Definitely no-no.

Atm, I use profitsender, my local autoresponder. Relatively cheap, good deliverability rate, easy to add and send email.

Aweber seems to be the best. I also need to optimize into my site soon. I dont know much on email marketing yet and how people make money from it, but im hoping to get that all figured out within the next few weeks

I am not in the IM niche and Im just starting but I've been using mailchimp mainly because it's free. It is simple to use, and as far as im concerned, the campaign reports are good. I backup my list just in case (I red lots of horror stories) but so far so good.

I really love icontact. Many people may disagree with me here. But I used Awebber for about a year and then decided to quit with it when my credit card expired. I didn't like how difficult it was too upload and download contacts from there.

I now use icontact and love it. Best thing is its free up to 500 subscribers so you can start building your list as a complete newbie for free. Its simple and easy to use. Much more user friendly than Awebber

    Just my 2c

services like aweber shine in that they do quite well getting email delivered to the inbox, instead of blocked at the isp, or sent to a spam box automaticaly. If you try to do this from your own server, it's most likely that you will have a lot more trouble getting your emails to inbox.

I use GetResponse. They have some nice features, that others don't. Atleast didn't last I looked. I won't go into the features because you can see their site for that. However, there are a few negatives...

    1. Support via email is pretty bad at times. They always answer timely but since, I assume, it's done in Polland, there is a language barrior. Most of the time I have to explain issues multiple times and even create videos.

    2. Phone support is only helpful if you need to know how to navigate the site or w/ features. Even then, it can be hit or miss.

    3. The site on some parts isnt user friendly or logical. For example, if you want to turn off subscription notices, you have to go into "search" instead of account settings (the logical location and it use to be there).

    4. Some features/parts don't fully work or break often. Not many and they fix them quickly but for some reason, they keep breaking.

    5. Some of the online help next fields has incomplete or wrong information.

I stick with them mainly because of a few features and the hassle to redo alot of custom programming.

It's definitely Aweber for me, the extra costs associated with more subscribers are far outweighed by the extra revenue produced. I think they offer a great product with good customer service.
