I made my first sale today! Exactly how I did it.

I just made my first sale ever online! I have to start by thanking those on the Warrior Forum who regularly offer awesome content, and I wouldn't have done it without becoming a War Room Member.

Okay, so you can check out my site at www (dot) imenlightenment (dot) com.

The site is pretty devoid of content so far, but I'll be adding more as often as I can (have a 9-5).

You'll notice that there are two product reviews, and one article. That article, titled "SEO Page Algorithms" is at the time of me posting this, in the #2 spot on Google! I didn't think it was possible!

Okay, so I've put up a very small amount of content, and I started pointing links at my site. So far I've used a couple blog comments, an article on Squidoo, some forum signatures, and a couple forum blogs pointing at my site.

In terms of "anchor text", I'd say that 80% of the links to my home page have the anchor text "Internet Marketing Enlightenment", and the others are "SEO", "Internet Marketing", and "Affiliate Marketing".

For each product review, and the article, there are about 10 links pointing to each page, and I think the only anchor text I used for those are the keywords themselves: "xxxx Review" and "SEO Page Algorithms".

I social bookmarked a few things, and sent out a couple of tweets on twitter (I have less than 100 followers), and that's it so far!

Regarding the article, I just used the free version of Market Samurai and found a keyword with very little competition, and I used the free version of Traffic Travis to make sure that the page got an "A+" rating in SEO.

I have a plugin called Ad Injection which rotates three (I will be adding more soon) ads which are all Clickbank products, and I used "Pretty Links" plugin to make all affiliate links 301 redirects.

That's pretty much it! It's taken me about a year to figure all of this out, but I would have done it much faster if I'd stopped reading a million forums about how to make money online. In terms of actual work, it's taken me about a month to get the site to where it is now, but over that month (if you exclude research), it's really only taken me about 5-8 hours of work.

Oh yeah, the article "SEO Page Algorithms" is 100% original and written by me, and yes I did just find some content online and re-write it myself.

You'll notice that I don't have any email capture on the site yet. I'll have that up and running as soon as I figure out how to do it.

I can't believe this has actually happened! This is the best feeling in the world!
