Really sorry to hear about that. Here's my advise.

If you have some savings right now to go about next 2 months and focus in building your business then go ahead starting your online business.

If you donot have that savings I would advise you to take projects at freelancer.com, elance.com, etc and you will start making instant income. The best projects you can take are article writing projects which should make you atleast $3 per article.

You can even check out warriors for hire section, there too you can get some projects.

If you wish to learn how to write quality articles PM me and I will give you one of my ebooks for free that will train you how to write good articles.

Now once you are making some instant income you can go about building your ebusiness.

There are certain steps you need to take, here how it goes...

1. Select a niche.
2. Build a list in your niche.
3. Ask your prospects what are their problems.
4. Create a product based on their problems and promote them the product.
5. You can even use affiliate marketing to promote the products to solve their problems.
6. Drive traffic using article marketing, forum posting and some paid advertising.
7. Build a huge product line and a sales funnel to increase your income per subscriber.

YOU have to master these 7 steps to start an online business, there are no shortcuts, hope this helps...

I am not sure but if you are good at writing, I would recommend you check out londonbrokers. You can start writing for them. It will make you much more than your bottom line indicated in your post.

If you are not good at writing, you might want to consider affiliate marketing and CPA marketing. Search for threads on these areas here on the WF for ideas.

If you can writing articles you can easily find out people searching for article writers on the forums, even here.
Or you can find people looking for backlinks for their sites.
But if you want to have your own business, there are a lot of great tutorials in SEO and IM that helps you.
You just need to register a domain, buy hosting (there are also free web hosting services, but I am afraid they aren't safe) and select your niche. Try to choose that is closer to you, as you'll have to write down articles. Then you can put Google Adnsense on your site or work on affiliate programs. While selecting your niche you must make a keyword research: does this keyword has high number of searches, how much is competition on this keyword. In this case you should use Google Keywords tool.

Hello John and welcome to the forums. As someone who also suffers from a "bad ticker" I understand how hard the situation can be, but rest assured we as a community will do our best to assist you as best we can.

If I may I'd like take the lesser traveled path in recommendations as you are a pure beginner and I am sure our tech-like talk would probably confuse you a bit. It's all a process and it will take some time but I am sure you are more than willing to take the time to learn.

My first recommendation would be to gather a list of things that you are most passionate and knowledgeable about. It could be a hobby, sport, political issue, etc. Once you have this list we can help you get started on the road to a healthier income but without the stress.

It may seem like a very simple start and in all honest it is, but it is also the most effective in my experiences. Best of luck to you Sir.

Find your passion, set a goal and focus on what needs done daily to achieve it.

...that means sticking to a schedule, something us entrepreneurs with "shiny object syndrome" tend to not be the best at

Who did you sell carports to? Will people buy them online without seeing one? What's the markup like? It may work better to give away a free report or instructions on how to build one... then an option to call/buy from you if they don't want to do it themselves.

You'd start by using the "google keyword tool" to learn the words people are typing in when searching for that item. Such as "manchester carport dealer," "carport instructions" or "how to build a carport."

Then you type that into a google search and see how much competition there is (results, i.e. 1-10 of 5,005,769 websites). You want a few hundred thousand competing sites, not a few million because you can get to page 1 easier.

Choose the one with the least competition, buy a url to match that (1and1.com has a .99 sale) and setup a wordpress blog on it to make your site.
