The problem is there's a disconnect between people who want to sign up for a pizza card...and getting hit with a CPA offer that's nothing related to what they signed up for (Ipads, etc).

Why not collaborate with one of your local pizza joints and create an offer of some sort. Or one of your products? Why limit yourself to CPA?

I agree with Kevin... it sounds like you should keep pushing offline marketing or maybe even a Groupon type deal.

It seems you've got a good thing going there. Don't ruin it with CPAs. Maybe you should just think about expanding?

Another consideration is whether your CPA network would consider that 'incentivised traffic', and whether they would allow it. If you don't have this right from the outset, you could end up getting a lot of actions and then losing your account (and earnings).

        Hi Martin

Great idea to offer them something else while they are in a happy mood with you.

The most important part here is getting their email addresses of course so I would put something like the following:

        Do Not Go Hungry Today!

Grab Your Two For One Pizza Card NOW!

Send your email address to .....................................

We will also reveal to you 17 other places you can get cut price food from today.

Well that sort of thing anyway and then when you get their email addresses you can target your new offers as affiliate links etc.

Personally, I wouldn't do the CPA offer unless there is something specifically Pizza Related in your area.

What I would do though suggest a website link to a site like "Deals in Local Area" - wherever you are - and just build a list. You can just say "for more deals such as this one in Local Area, sign up".

Then, even if you don't directly promote anything for a while, you can slowly build your list and approach other local food venues and say that you will market their products to local customers. You can charge the company, and blast the list with that company's marketing offer.

It's a slow progress and it's not going to be hugely profitable fast but if you're doing it anyway, you may as well collect a targeted list that you can market to.

    Hi Martin,

Why not send them to a related affiliate offer instead?

I just google'd affiliate restaurants and it came back
with 64 million results. I'm sure you can find an excellent
    affiliate offer somewhere in there.

    Best regards,

    Mary

Kevin is the man, keep on with the offline marketing thing you have going, expand it and then maybe it would really work for you big time.

It is great to think of selling them something else, but why sell them other peoples products, as in CPA offers?

Why not collect their email addresses and offer them new products similar to the pizza card?

      Such as:

      Your auto discount card

a dinner club card - buy 1 get 1 free restaurant offers

More pizza cards at different times of the year, suggest they use them for fund-raising etc.

Offer your customer base to sell the cards for you for extra money.

Have an expiration date on the pizza cards and offer them new ones with discounts, try to get them to buy multiples for discounted price, combination offers etc.

      or something similar

Or, you could do it via SMS, probably even better when integrated via a QR code scan.

Do a Groupon or an Amazon local special deal. That would work out well for you. Just check into it.
