    (1) Ebay

I've used them and had pretty good luck - just give a good description!

    (2) Sedo
    (3) Afternic

Two of the pretty "big" domain aftermarket sources. They charge commissions of course

    (4) TDNAM.com

Part of the Godaddy system and also charges a commission.

I have used each one of these with some success in the past.

There's a few out there, like sitepoint.com, godaddy.com, domaintools.com (which is awesome for finding great domains!) etc., but I've had the best luck optimizing the sites for the domains term, for example I bought texaswebdesign.com for $700 and optimized it using onehourgoogle.com's techniques and then sold it for $3000 to the third person that called on it.

      Hi Beaumont,

While there are numerous ways to sell a domain name but the strategy you take to selling it should depend on the customer you are looking for.

In my experience there are two types of domain consumers out there:
      1. The Reseller - Looking for good names, good value, turnover for profit
      2. The End User - Using the name for marketing, development, business building or the domain holds a personal significance to the buyer.
If your looking to market your domain name to the resellers then your likely to find them on the forums, auctions and aftermarkets. However if you want a real bang for you buck you should consider putting a but of time into marketing the domain like any product.

A couple recommendations to find that end user:
      • Type your domain keywords into Google, target the keyword advertisers on AdWords ads.
      • Also, use the search engine to find potential end users - could your domain be better for their current website?
      • Determine your target market, are they corporate? Blue collar? School Students? This will help you build a list -direct marketing is one of the most powerful tools for selling your domain.
      • Create a small landing page on your domain, so that it helps the potential customer envision themselves owning it - don't waste your time with parked or error pages.
These tips should get you going, I wrote a post that might be more detailed on my blog last week - feel free to check it out. Good luck Beau!

      Cheers,
      Kris

    Hi,
I have also tried selling domain using sedo and other domain forums , but its really tough.
I finally sold built a site on that domain and sold it for a low price. The hardest part seems to be finding the end user.

    bye,
    faraz
