I need something that really works

Hi I am new to this forum and I'm getting over whelmed with all the posts so I decided to make my own. I am looking for a online job that really works. I have looked and looked and can't seem to find one that actually pays and I just don't have the money to keep paying for these programs that never produce any money. If someone can please just help me find something that isn't going to take hours on end just to figure it out and that will actually pay I would appreciate it! Thank you for all your help

As a start, if you have a skill and are willing to do some freelance work, you can go to odesk.com or elance.com or even here at the Warriors for Hire section and offer your services. This is still trading time for money though, so if you want to really go into setting up a system that generates passive income, then consider building a list in the niche you are in and then start generating sales via affiliate marketing.

    Tiffany -

With internet marketing, there is no such thing as a silver bullet, guaranteed to work. There are just too many intangibles, most important - how hard are you prepared to work? What skills do you already have?

Also, you refer to an "online job". Internet marketing is not a job; jobs usually reflect a somewhat detatched involvement, but a successful internet marketer will be consumed. It will be a passion.

I don't know what your personal skills are, so pointing you in a particular direction will be difficult. For a real newbie, I would suggest you subscribe to Travis Sago's Bum Marketing course: Bum Marketing Method - Free Traffic Tips It will introduce you to the complete basics of internet marketing.

One piece of advice: find something you can work with and stick to it. The biggest complainers are those who have skipped from course to course, idea to idea without giving anything a reasonable chance to work.

Tiffany the best thing to do right now to start your income would be to offer services. Are you good at writing? Can you do webpages? What other skills do you have? Figure out what services you can offer, check out Fiverr.com to see if that interests you. But keep in mind you will only see $3 of every $5 you make there. If you know what skills you can offer you might be better off setting up your own website and offering those skills.

You can start a website for as little as $2.00. You can register a .info for $1.99 at Godaddy and you can get hosting on Hostgator for .01 for the first month and $9.00 a month after that. It comes with 1 click installation of wordpress also great 24 hour customer service if you need help. Also you can go to fiverr and hire someone to set it all up for you.

Then after that you need to begin marketing your service site. Once you get some work under your belt and some reviews you can reevaluate the prices you're charging and raise or lower them accordingly.

I got my start On My Fiverr. It allowed me to earn some income to invest in tools and knowledge to scale up.
The money earned was not a fortune but it really helped in getting started. It also gives you a mental boost when that first few bucks goes into paypal.
That's probably the most powerful thing that happened in a way. I put my service out there, someone responded-paid me-and left positive feedback.
    (that's a good feeling)

It made me look up and say " hey this can work" and on it went from there.

If there is one bit advice I can give you is re-invest your earnings at the start in tools, knowledge and even advertising. Its all about leveraging that $3 into $6 then $12 and so on. You'll be surprised at how fast little bits of money add up.

Hope that helps some and best wishes with your Journey.

    Hey Tiffany,

Keep in there - don't give up!

We all need to go through this stage... it's what makes us stronger, I mean there is a reason that only a small percentage of people really make it to the $XXX,XXX pay day's.

But it through persistence and HARD WORK - so keep your head up!

If your looking for work to help you tick over while your learning the tricks of the trade here are a few places you could look (some that other warrior's have already mentioned).
    - Warrior's To Hire section of the forum
    - ODesk.com
    - Craiglist.com
    - Elance.com
    - Freelance.com

Depending on the kind of skill's you currently have... SEO, Link Building, ect!

You could even take your skills offline and try find some work / clients that way too.

ENDLESS possibilities - you just got to think outside the box.

...and, remember the city of Rome wasn't built in a day - take your time and most importantly - TAKE ACTION!

    You CAN DO IT!

    Hope this helps,

Oh if I get a nickel every time I see someone post something like this I'd be a millionaire. Making money online is NOT going to be easy. Look at ALL the competition. Millions and millions of people are competing. Thousands are competing in the "make money niche" alone.

You need to research. I know it's boring, I know it's not instant income but you need to know all the in's and out's before starting this adventure. You're going to make mistakes.

At first I couldnt get anyone to my websites but finally I realized that this isn't going to happen over night. You need to build strong, credible relationships.

You have so many options. You can do freelance work but do not expect much more than minimum wage pay. Most people think making money online is quick and easy only to find out it takes a lot of time and commitment. The good news is if you stick to a program that will educated and support you it will pay off in the end. Just believe in yourself and never quit.

Go to the WSO section. Find out which services/products really sell, but you don't have to buy them. To know which ones are selling, sort them according to number of views and replies. Get free review copies if possible.

Sometimes, some products don't require a really groundbreaking idea (in fact, what you'll hear often is do NOT reinvent the wheel. Continue that which is known to work) but they require a lot of time to do (hint: researching).

Once you already know how to do a proper research, then just continue to do it and provide these people with large amount of data to work with.

The basic principle is giving value to people (in this case, time savings) and people will pay you money for it.

I have noticed that this is common question here on the forum and my advice (as always) is:

Pick one niche that you believe in and stick with it. Be determined and follow through and don't give up. You can choose from a wide variety of niches but the most important thing is to stick with your idea and follow through. The most common mistake that people do is jumping from niche/program to niche/program and, sadly never gets anything done...

    1. Keep learning and build your skills.
    2. Get help and ask questions.
    3. Take action and apply your training.

    Hope that helps. Good luck!

Many newbies make the mistake of jumping into the Make Money Online market, where all of the biggest and best play. There are so many better ways for a newbie to make money, but only you can decide which way is best for you.

Some people start by offering a service. Don't know what your skills are, so you'd have to determine that.
Then there's article marketing, website and domain flipping, CPA, affiliate marketing ... you name it. Too many ways to make money to list them.

There is NO blueprint. You have to create the blueprint yourself and it requires a lot of study and work. Your goal should be to build a sustainable online business... not just make a fast buck.

Before anything else, welcome to the forum Tiffany.
I agree with what fellow warriors have been telling you about what you should do when you decide to join in the IM world. I will always remind people, especially those who are still new to this world that it is NOT true that when people think of Internet Marketing, it is always instant money to them. This is most people believe and will at times, leave their daytime job since they have read and heard stories about people who are earning more than office workers even at home.
If you don't have any idea where to start, you could hang in this forum and try to read threads which can help you answer some of the question in your mind and what you really want to do. And also, research- research-and more research will do the trick. It will not be that easy but I will tell you, it's worth the time and the effort.
First, try to evaluate yourself on what you really want to do in the IM business. What skills and qualities that you have that will rise above the rest? If you are into writing, then you can offer your services and you might want to check on the lists as what fellow warriors have been suggesting to you. Create a portfolio that will attract clients and that will make them decide to hire you. Be honest to what you will post in your profile since your record and credibility is an important factor to the IM business.
Just enjoy and hang in the forum, and might as well ask some questions from the warriors here and surely, they will give you the answers that you are looking for.

      Hi,

Just to add to this, cause I think this is really good and important. The success stories are real, but if you read and read, many of these successful people did not usually start out successful. Some people tried out internet marketing for 3 years, starting really small whilst managing it between their day jobs. Some of them quitted because it didn't work out for them (yet) and then tried it again.

I think our heads usually filtered these painful stories because of our wish for success, but just in any business, nobody can ever get rich EASILY. In fact, if anything, what most people will describe to you is SIMPLICITY, but one that requires hard work, but never be fooled and never believe that there's ever anything good coming out of so little work (or usually, so little money, that is).

As you may have read, work makes money, and those people who have money, will eventually replace having to work on something by spending money on them (outsourcing). Eventually, if you're looking for something that requires very little effort or work, your experience will be the key to deciding where the money should be spent in and how much.

I assume you're looking at earning income online as something where you follow a system that works, as promised by the system vendor, i.e. Completing a set of tasks each day, then earning income online. My assumptions are based on what you said about looking for an online job, then mentioning things about being unable to find something that actually pays and not having the resources to keep paying for programs that never work. So which is it: Are you looking for a means to earn income by getting an online job offered by businesses looking to increase their profit margins and brand exposure through the implementation of their online marketing strategies, or for a system that'll allow you to build a business with successful online marketing strategies you can follow to steadily grow your net profit margins and business exposure?

For the first one - A lot of jobs doing tasks to implement the online marketing strategies of businesses around the world are available, and yes: They pay, most in advance...

For the second one: I don't believe these systems exist - Never have, and never will. Look at it this way, in case you want a business, instead of a job:

You'll have the creative freedom of formulating from what you need to learn a profitable business which can allow you to gain more time and freedom by initially building it from the ground up, then by running and steadily growing it from the top down...

This is an example of "doing business": Hiring people with the right mindset, expertise, skills and knowledge. Then equipping them with what they need to learn and use to further increase the value of what they can do for others with immediate needs and urgent problems who can neither satisfy nor solve them on their own. Next, implementing systems that will put the valuable products and services your business and employees can offer in front of the people and organizations that need it the most. Then, inspiring and motivating your employees to be the best at what they do so they can continue helping others by providing the best value for the money of your clients while continuing to grow your business...

This is an example of "having an online job": Getting someone doing the things above to hire you for implementing the online brand and product marketing campaigns of their clients...

Formulating a creative business model takes time and a lot of effort. Planning the workflow systems, backend and frontend processes of a profitable business takes time and a lot of effort. Monitoring and testing those systems and processes to improve it further needs implementation from your side. Implementing those systems and processes takes time and a lot of effort. FaceBook didn't happen with just Mark (owner/developer) formulating a creative concept, registering a domain name, getting a Hostgator account, developing the website by outsourcing it to a third party provider, buying static site content from third party developers and marketing it online by blasting links and content all over the Internet. YouTube didn't start out like this, either...

Create many Squidoo lenses. You won’t make fast money but you will make money for sure, and without spending a cent. You only have to work and create quality lenses. Make a research, collect many different links from many places with interesting information. Here is a lens that teaches you how to create many lenses in a short period of time and get traffic:

    http://www.squidoo.com/passive-income-website-traffic-squidoo-beginners-guide

You’ll find many other interesting lenses and learn many things in this lens. Read everything. In the beginning it’s tiring because you don’t know anything, but once you get used with the Squidoo system you’ll love creating lenses. You’ll have the chance to use your artistic talent besides making money.

Use many images. Spend your time looking for the ideal picture for each paragraph. Find free images at flickr.com or Google images.

You'll also learn how to sell your products online. Later you can create your website, blog, etc. It’s a good idea to test many things in a lens, and when you’ll have the perfect products do something else.

    All the best!

Spent the last half hour looking into lenses, lot of people complaining they've made a ton of lenses(one guy over a 100) but have trouble getting and traffic to them...my question is if the lenses aren't getting traffic, does having them linked to your real site even help it? Also why waste time and energy promoting a lense website when you can just promote your real website, seems like silly misdirection. Thanks

        It does to me, too.

I used to use Squidoo regularly, myself, as part of my "backlinking strategy" but (like many here) have long since abandoned it. For me, it makes no sense at all.

Squidoo also keeps on changing the rules and it's becoming harder all the time to get any value out of it.

As can be seen from all the threads like this one it seems now to be of pretty limited relevance to Warriors.

Tiffany, you say you're looking for a home-based job. I'm not in any way trying to make you feel unwelcome here (which I'm sure you're not!), but this really may not be quite the optimal forum for you. This is an internet marketing forum primarily for people interested in running their own businesses. Respectfully, I suggest that the forums at WAHM.com might be much more relevant and appropriate to you. It's a huge place and it'll take you a while just to find your way around, but it may be far more helpful to you. Good luck and good wishes.

    Tiffany
Tiffany, there are lots of things that "actually work," and there isn't just one legitimate way to make money online, The thing is that they all require that you put forth effort. There is also a learning curve. If you don't have the knowledge and skill to do something, you are obviously going to have to take the time to gain that and implement what you learn before you can make any money. No one starts out at the top.

With that said, I prefer affiliate marketing with a niche blog (selling other people's products and earning a commission for every sale made). With a niche blog, I have a site on a specific topic (fashion, learn Spanish, weight loss, learn guitar, dating...) that contains both product reviews and related articles.

I like it because once you get everything up and running, the income is residual - work once but continue to get paid without any extra work. I can also generate multiple income streams from the same blog, which means more money in my pocket. I also like that I can work around my own schedule as well.

All it takes is the right training. For this, I recommend Unstoppable Affiliate by Andrew Hansen and Josh Stanton. It's an internet marketing training program that uses a straightforward approach to teaching the newbie marketer how to make consistent, sustainable income from a niche blog. Outside of the basic course, they also offer a coaching program that you can elect to join in on.

    Good luck,
    Joey

Don't spend any money before you make some money.

I started with $0 with one simple, free Blogger blog. After I earned some money, I bought hosting and domain.

You should start with small, but go for big. If you are total newbie, maybe you should watch 30 day challenge, it will help you to understand how IM works.

I agree with johFF, DON'T spend money before you even make money.

      I don't agree here mate.

Sometimes, money makes money. Why not find something that'll produce x times your investment. Then, gradually, scale it up, to a real-world, real money business?

If you have a skill then offer your service. Have a look at what other warriors are offering and look in the warriors for hire section.

You can make a full time living from offering a service in the warrior forum.
Also try DP forum, odesk, and elance.

    Hope this helps

Depends on what you have to offer? What is your particular set of skills and how much effort and commitment can you put in?

there are many websites providing online earning money opportunities free or invested..

Chacha.com - chacha is a human powered search engine that's maintained by search guides. It has more than 10.000 guides already and pays them between $5-$20/hour depending on performance.

Clicknwork.com - get paid $5-$150/hour for doing some freelance work on a per-assignment basis. You'll have to pass a tough test before you can start with it

          Hello,

I got my start by building lots of niche websites that generated money for me everyday. It is a bit of work, but if you have a handful of sites that are generated a little bit of money on a daily basis, you will see that the cash from these sites begin to build up. I have sites that I built 4 years ago that still bring me in money everyday.

Remember though that not every site you build will bring you money. With niche sites it's definitely a numbers game.

Well, I have something that really works, but it is not a get rich fast deal. It starts out slow, and then builds month by month so you will be sittin pretty after about 10-12 months. It is not pyramid or MLM program. and it actually does make you money from month 1 through month 24, just slow and steady. I too have been spending way to much money on crap that doesn't work. But this is a simple ingenious system that has been created. This is no ad, and I make nothing from this info. But would like to help if I can. I am not sure If I can post a link since I am new as well, but you an go here to see how this is possible. let me just say up to 100,000$ a month. => legit . 124online . com

You could try the likes of Fiverr, where you simply offer something you can do for five Dollars, it's also a good idea to browse around and see what others are offering, things like article marketing and social bookmarking, it's a nice way to build up experience and a portfolio

You mentioned that you are a good typist and would enjoy a job that involved typing, so how about transcribing audios and videos. This is quite a sought after skill and you will have no shortage of worj if you turn out to be good at it.

Hi! I read that you are pretty good at typing? What programs are you paying for?
I suggest going down the route of freelancing, & selling digital goods..
Can you set up a wordpress website?
Can you obtain a store plugin?
    Can you copy & paste?

There is a lot of digital products that include specific legal rights to resell.. When I began in internet marketing 6 years ago I didn't know about them.. Up until last year.

    Here is a few examples..

    resellblowout.ws/product_websites/Freelance_Riches/
    resellblowout.ws/product_websites/Class_Marketing_Tactics/
    resellblowout.ws/product_websites/Firesale_Profits_Revealed/

During the condition on what the economy is in you can be sure that no one and I mean no one will depend on entirely one job. If you are looking to search for a job online then it would be great by telling us a little about yourself your skills and interests and someone will contact you soon enough.
