Noobs, get cash into your paypal...TOMORROW

Here's a simple method for getting the quick cash you so desperately need.

You're going to start a Media Distribution company. You're going to take an existing Youtube video and distribute it to multiply sites for a good daily income. You'd be surprised, but most small business people have no clue about how to do this.

Here's step by step what to do guide.

1. Head over to Pixelpipe.com and signup. Pixelpipe is a great service that allows you to syndicate text, audio, video and image files to about 60 social networks, blogs, and sites. Pixelpipe will also let you Tweet a link to a picture, video, PDF file, or audio file. Push button simple...and it's free.

The unfortunate thing is that it's a bit of a pain having to individually sign up for each of those 60-70 social networks. However, once you're done...you're done. You can now freely distribute videos instantaneously to multiple sharing sites.

2. Head over to Youtube and search for small businesses that are obviously trying to get exposure. I found a guy selling a series of harmonica lessons. Input into the search term box search strings ending with the words "lesson plans." You'll get tons of prospects.

Only choose prospects whose videos have at least 2000 views. You'll be wasting your time with others. Stay away from those big boys that have over 100,000 views.

Here are some search terms to get you going:

How to grow roses
Chinese cook book
Picture framing
Bronze baby shoes
Build your own sheds

3. Contact each prospect. It's easy to do this.

Start by clicking the username next to one of the user's videos. This will take you to the user's Channel page. Once you're on the user's Channel page, click the 'Send Message' link underneath their thumbnail. You can then write a message just like an email. When you're done, click the 'Send Message' button.

The user will be able to view your message in their YouTube Inbox. They'll also receive an email letting them know they've got a new message to read.

4. Write a short punchy email saying that you think their video is cool, and that it deserves more exposure. Remind them: more exposure means more profits.

5. Let them know you're willing to immediately distribute their videos for FREE to 10 video sharing sites. You'd be surprised at how many people will take you up on this offer. They have no idea that it'll take you all of 2 minutes to access your pixelpipe account and press send.

6. Once they agree you'll use my favourite video hunter (netvideohunter.com). This baby will quickly and easily scoop up any video you throw at it. Download, and then upload the video to your pixelpipe account.

7. Now it's simply a matter of posting to the video sites.

8. How do you make money? Since it takes you all of just a few minutes to upload his video to 10 sites, you'll go back to him saying it's all done, and show him a list of where to find his video.

9. Tell him that you're able to upload to a next top 40 sites on the net for a mesely $12. payable into your paypal account. . He'll readily agree because you've just proved to him you're no flake.

10. Lather, rinse, repeat to as many youtube channel holders as you want. If you do this at least three hours daily, there's no reason why you wouldn't be successful.

If you don't make a minimum of a hundred bucks a day, I'll eat my hat

Go get 'em!

Brent Whinfield.

Hi LadyZelda, the title does sound a bit spammy, doesn't it. But I wanted to catch people's attention who really need this. This thing works. Someone new to marketing (actually ANYONE) could have money coming in as early as the next day...as long as they are willing to put in the effort.

The really interesting thing is that you have found a way to automate the donkey work using pixelpipe.

I am going to give this a try. (and maybe put up a fiver ad for this service too )

Here's something to chew on guys and gals. Youtube is the biggest game in town for videos. However, they're not the ONLY game in town. Do some research and uncover other opportunities to conduct your new Media Distribution business. You'll be excited to see the possibilities of serious money being made.

Here's the great part to this business. Distributing the customers videos is just to get your foot in the door. Once you have a customer, you can then provide other services such increase video views, increase Facebook likes, "pretty up" the video with special effects, distribute website links to hundreds of social book marking sites, and on and on.

You'll be providing a much needed service to small business owners who don't have marketing expertise.

You're going to now be paid up front for your services, which is now easy to do because you have now established a relationship with the customer.

Once you get paid, you'll head over to fiverr.com and grab any of the dozens of gigs being offered for those services. Why not charge the customer a measly $29.95 to do one of the above services? You'll end up making $25. after paying for the gig.

      Pretty cool, huh?

Let me know what you think.

      Brent.

Wtatlas...I checked, and indeed pixelpipe seems to doing upgrades.

Here are a couple of alternatives to pixelpipe.

        Try HeySpread
Hey!Spread - Video Distributing Web Service

        Content Buzz
"We have developed a unique system that not only submits your video automatically to the top Video Sharing and Social Networking Sites, but also creates as many Social Proof Campaigns as you want, again, done for you automatically... You can also promote Videos that you have previously uploaded to YouTube."
        videowildfire.com

I have a Pixelpipe account which I used just days ago. It's incredible that they've stopped taking new signups. Sorry about that. But don't let that stop you.

This puts you in an awesome position to make even more money. After reading your post I also went searching for video distribution alternatives, and couldn't find much.

Start your own small custom distribution network and charge much, much more. You'll do it all by hand. You'll be providing a service that has little competition. People still want and need video distribution.

Once you have 60 destinations set up, it should be no problem spending just a short time in accessing the individual accounts, and then uploading the video.

Outsource this after you've gotten the hang of it.

Here are a couple of available fiverr gigs.

        Try Jedi Marketer at fiverr:
jedimarketer: I will manually upload your AMAZING video across the Top 15 Video sites and give you a report on where the links are for $5 on fiverr.com

        Try this guy
iampinoyservice: I will distribute your video in YouTube and other major video uploading sites and promote it to social bookmarking sites for traffic and quick indexing of your new site by Google in 24 to 48 hours for $5 on fiverr.com

(Of course I'm not affiliated with them.)

I'm following this thread with great interest. But here's something I don't understand. Are you getting paid to upload videos into your own accounts on all the video sites? Why wouldn't a business want their videos distributed to their accounts that they can control?
          {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[4644942].message }}
          • Profile picture of the author winnerone
Good question, Gail. Short answer...yes. The videos I've come across (see the original post) all have their brand name/contact info/URL inside. You're going after small business people who are obviously trying to promote their business. They just want their videos out there.

You'll run them all through your accounts.

grandstar, you "plan one day to get into video marketing?" The revolution is well underway, my friend. Catch and ride this wave now. If you're selling ebooks, then offer a video tutorial along with it. It'll increase the value of your product exponentially.

There's no question about it, video in your marketing mix is very, very powerful.

I started several years ago by using the free Camstudio software to do screen capture illustrations of my products. My customers loved those small videos.

Why not set aside one quiet evening, make a short video reviewing one of your many PLR ebooks gathering dust on your hard drive, and upload it to your website or blog.

Your blog readers would surely find it of interest, and you'll be encouraged to do more and distribute them to networks. Each vid will of course have a little promo of your site.

tpw, you hit the nail on the head. Too many new marketers want the quick BIG buck. The recent crop of WSO's have conditioned them into thinking it's easy to make a grand a day just by pushing a button. No one wants to actually work anymore.

I heard that there's a real problem in the electrical industry finding electricians because no one wants to get their hands dirty. Everyone wants to sit in front of a computer.

New people have got to realize that by starting small earning 20, 40, 60, a 100 dollars, they're gaining the expertise and confidence to be earning much more.

This is a realistic business that'll set them on the road to success.

          Exactly.

I have no expectations about income claims from any IM methods anymore (ie scammy sounding or not) as I've pretty much decided on my own model based on patiently building a lasting profitable online business, I think working through this one will pay many other dividends with respect to that, if I did make anything close to the extra profit touted in the OP it would be mere icing on the cupcake.

Probably some were a mite "overeager" to get onboard. And full disclosure, I didn't even catch it right off as the first thing I went to check out was their Terms of Service.

    Istvan, thanks for your comment.

However, you'll notice that I don't have a sig file, or a link pushing a product. I sincerely wish to help new people who want to earn a solid income.

If you go back up and read some of my posts in this thread, you'll see several of them offering valuable advice.

Here's another example of what I mean by a free, no hidden agenda...valuable advice:

Here's something your new Media Distribution clients will love.

While it is possible to add hyperlinks on YouTube videos via the built-in annotations feature, the only problem is that you cannot link to external websites from YouTube videos. Those links should either point to a video hosted on YouTube or to a video search page that's again on YouTube.

This may be a problem especially for content publishers as they cannot provide a "click here to read more" kind of link in the video where visitors may click to read the related story.

The problem however gets solved with LinkedTube, an online tool that lets you add hover buttons and links on YouTube videos, while you embed them in web pages.

LinkedTube is actually a Flash widget that adds links and other sharing options to the standard YouTube video player. This is a great free business getting bonus to share with your clients. See LinkedTube here:

Newbies, don't allow cynicism to stop you. Go for it. Implement Media Distribution. It's a solid plan.

Now here's some more FREE, VALUABLE advice to grow your business.

Here's a company that needs your services. They sell a book binding machine. This is just ONE example of hundreds of videos that need you.

You'll notice that there's no URL or other ways for interested prospects to contact them. It's simply a demo of the machine.

In addition to LinkedTube, offer to place a small promo inside their video which contains their URL and contact details. In other words, you're offering an additional 30 second commercial.

    Here's how to do it.

    1. Go to animoto.com and signup for their free account. The freebie limits you to just 30 seconds of video. That's plenty, because you're create a stunning video which you'll append to the end of that boring book binding demo.

    2. Animoto places their logo at the end of each creation. You'll cut that out with Windows Movie Maker.

    3. Download the video as detailed in my post above, then open up your Windows Movie Maker (Mac guys you have something similar.) Movie Maker is loaded on all Windows machines. This is truly drag and drop dead easy. A techno noob can edit using this software.

    4. You'll join the animotoed (just made up that word) piece to the existing video, and Voila! You now have a nice custom made, eye candy commercial that appears at the end of the boring book binder video. I bet your clients will all love you for this.

Go to animoto.com and begin playing with this fantastic service.

Okay winnerone, you're on. I'm still not so technically proficient at some of these things but I've been noodling around with video marketing and I have the next 3 days free enough to give this a serious go.

And you're on my Christmas card list now, too. The LinkedTube tip alone did that.

      Thanks.

Despite the scammy title-- it's some really awesome Info.

I'm new to internet marketing and was just going to try it out, but pixelpipe registration is currently closed (as several people have already pointed out)

Hopefully it will open back up soon.

Anyway, I do have a question: How do they send money to your paypal account?

I've never done a transfer just between people on paypal before, there's always been some kind of service i've gone through.

    Thanks for your help,
    --Jeff

P.S. I can totally see all the youtube people talking about roses and chinese cook books getting hit up with about 100 messages asking if they would like their videos distributed for "a measly $12" HA

    **UPDATE**

The twitter thing worked. Even if you don't have a twitter you can just go create an account there and then log into pixelpipe with your twitter account.

But yeah there's definitely only 27 sites available for video... or is there some way to custom add more video sharing sites on your own?

27 doesn't sound nearly as impressive as 70.. or even 40... so I'm thinking it would be better to only offer uploading their video to 5 sites for FREE and then offering to upload it to 22 MORE for $11 ($2/site)

Something like that.. because offering to upload it to TEN sites for FREE and then not even twice that number for $12 just seems like a rip-off.

Let me see if I've got this right... you're telling people who have no clue how to spam people who have no clue...?

Did you also tell them that they may need multiple YouTube accounts in order to contact people through Youtube but because they are spamming it won't take long for someone to complain and have their original; YouTube account blocked?

Did you also tell them that MOST SMALL BUSINESS PEOPLE will never pay money in advance for a service that's not been seen and that they don't understand, which means of course that they WON'T have much money (if any) in their PayPal accounts tomorrow?

Did you also tell them that having them blast their "customers" link to a whole bunch of social networking sites that have no contacts, no friends and no 'circles" is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS inevitable leading to unhappy clients who are going to want their money back once they realise they've been ripped off.

Finally, did you also tell them that this will only work for gullible people and gullible customers and that anyone worth their salt in online marketing would touch such a thing in a million years!

I don't want to be the one to put a fire hose on the enthusiasm here... but I'm sick and tired of watching newbies getting their hopes and dreams shattered into a million pieces.

Your conceptualized theory overall is interesting, however, building a strong business is more than concept. As business owners we have responsibilities to our clients and an expectation of doing business ethically. I was dismayed to see some of your responses particularly the following.

Originally Posted by winnerone View Post

      This is NOT
"some more FREE, VALUABLE advice to grow your business"

      This is theft!

You're telling people to use the Free 30 second non-commercial use license to promote an obviously commercial video. You're telling them to resell this service without the reseller license. You're telling them to deceptively remove the animoto logo giving the impression the final item is a white-labelled product others have paid for. In essence you are teaching people to steal from one business to sell to another.

The proper use of the animoto service is outlined in...

Their pricing structure. Animoto - Product Pricing Plans

Their TOS page Animoto - Legal - Terms of Service

And what about the animoto logo/brand? Animoto - Features

      "Noobs" Beware!

Never mind the intro/outro call to action doesn't need to be fancy. A simple 5-10 sec still is fine.

Other than that... it's an interesting idea.

    a little update:

I did a gig for someone and advertised it as 'over 25 video sites'. when it was all said and done, only 18 of the sites uploaded the video successfully. I went in and checked them manually, i even had to upload a couple manually myself. But anyways, I'm going to advertise this as 'upload your video to 18 video sharing websites.'

Just to clarify a little bit, the videos don't upload to sites like blogger, twitpic linkedin etc. automatically. I'm sure if you created a blog on blogger and wanted to upload the video you could, unless I am mistaken. I think you need to go through your pipe list and make sure you are uploading to the ones that accept video, because it doesn't look like all of them do.

The main point of this idea seems to be the automation part (Pixelpipe), but as far as I see, there isn't any real video sharing sites in Pixelpipe other than YouTube. This means that you will have to either find another free/paid service for distributing videos or create your own list and script to do that. Because, if you cannot automate such a service it will not be worth offering at all.

This whole concept sounds more like a theory to me that has a low chance to work. But you wouldn't know without trying.

I think this is an interesting idea, but as a few others have pointed out, Pixelpipe is probably not the best service to use for this (primarily because there is only 1 *real* video sharing site in there -- the rest are just social networking sites, image sharing sites, and file sharing sites, etc).

I've done a little research, but I've yet to find a free or low cost service that does automatic submissions to more than a handful of real video sharing sites. But this would be key, because you'd be hard pressed to make decent money at this without automating the submissions (especially at just $12 per client, lol).

Other than that, a few tweaks I would make to this...

      1) I wouldn't waste my time trying to contact prospects via YouTube (if you PM a lot of people on YouTube with the same exact message, you'll see why, lol).

Instead, I would write an automation script that scrapes Google search results for YouTube videos associated with your desired keyword, then follows the website links in the descriptions out to their website, and ultimately compiles a big list of email addresses and contact form URLs from the websites.

      2) When you contact them, give them a good reason why you are offering them something for free (otherwise most will be suspicious, and probably just ignore you). One angle you could take here would be to say that you are about to launch a video submission service, and right now you are giving out a limited number of free submissions in order to get testimonials before you launch (but don't say it unless it's true). Then after you deliver their 5 or 10 free submissions, hit them up with your paid offer.

I think this would be most effective if you got a good domain name first (ie PremiumVideoSubmissions.com), then set up a simple webpage using a good looking template (you could just put "coming soon" on the page for now). Then contact them from admin@PremiumVideoSubmissions.com. That would look a lot more legit than if you contacted them from bob1214@gmail.com.

But yeah, with a few tweaks I think this idea definitely has some potential. Kudos to the OP for some out of the box thinking!

Now if I could just find a cost-effective video submission service that could submit to more than a handful of real video sites, then I would be tempted to write an automation script to handle the rest, and let my VA give this a shot.

    Great thread!
I have an even easier way to do it! Outsource the pixelpipe signing up task.
You can hire someone on ODesk for less than $20 to do this job for you!

Sounds like a great strategy might just have to put this one to work! I have been looking at a few youtube methods to make cash but this one seems like a reasonably easy one to implement. And even easier if you outsource it.

    Thanks for the tip!

I was away from my computer for 24 hours, and now that I've returned I'm reading some of your comments with interest.

    A couple of observations:

Too many people are now making a huge deal out of the fact that Pixelpipe has temporarily stopped taking new signups. Read the threads again and you'll see that sturmbro629 (thanks bro.) has offered a workaround with signing up through a Twitter account.

The other concern seems to be that pixelpipe has reduced the number of pipes to around twenty something.

Guys, you're missing the big picture here.

Like I said in one of my previous posts in this thread, you're only getting your foot in the door with this to offer more valuable services to your clients.

BabyMama, the award goes to you. You suggest hiring someone at odesk to do signups. This is the kind of thinking I'd like to see. How tough would it be to pay someone a few dollars to set up 70 video sharing accounts that you can use over and over again.

So, pixelpipe is temporarily unavailable. When life hands you lemons...make lemonade. Use the twenty odd video pipes that pixelpipe offers, and get a fiverr gig to set up the rest.

You now have a great opportunity to make even more money. Maybe it won't be push button simple as with pixelpipe, but once you have those accounts set up you can smoothly send out videos.

Someone in thread (I forgot who) suggested that people will not respond to an email solicitation of this nature.

    Nonsense!

Spend just one hour at youtube as a test. Gather a small database of prospects whom you think will likely need your services. Next, visit each channel one after another and at the end of the hour you're bound to get a number of people who will agree to your freebie.

Of course, it's a numbers strategy. If you contact 100 people this way and get 20 positive responses, is it worth it? Ya betcha! Why? Because you know you'll be able to sell other services to these people.

Ask yourself....What's the lifetime value of a customer?

    Hi George

My name is Brent. I just finished watching your video. Very, very cool! I'd love for it to get much more exposure though.

I can distribute your video FOR FREE to 10 video sharing sites, 5 of which are heavily
    trafficked mobile sites. Yes, mobile.

As you know millions and millions of people depend on mobile phones for accessing the 'net. Your video will immediately be available to a whole new audience.

I'll send your video to 5 of these mobile video sites, plus 5 popular online video sharing sites. Like I said, no obligation....I'll do it for free. Your video will get great exposure.

Let me know me what you think.

    Drop me an email.

This idea sounds great. For those who are concerned about pixlepipe being unavailable, there must be alternatives.

Not sure how much you guys can squeeze out of these resources but I seem to remember that onlywire.com and posterous.com are similar in some ways to pixlepipe.

    Worth looking into anyway.

      Hi,

This isn't such a bad idea, although personally I stay away from unsolicited messages in any medium.

If you want to know what happened to Pixelpipe go here.

It's a long thread but somewhere around page 9 was when Pixelpipe pulled the plug.

The guy selling that product also does a product that automates signing up for the sites that Pixelpipe distributes to, which is probably why you'll see people selling those signing-up services elsewhere.

My concern with this idea is that you'll probably need quite a few youtube accounts, because I reckon plenty of people will mark the solicitation as spam.

I would also be interested in sending out two different messages as a split-test -

      The one winnerone posted -

I'll send your video to 5 of these mobile video sites, plus 5 popular online video sharing sites. Like I said, no obligation....I'll do it for free. Your video will get great exposure.
..and another one being even more up-front, explaining that the reason I was offering to do this for free is because I have an even better offer, that I only charge a tiny fee for, that I would like to offer once I have proven myself with the free offer.

I would suggest this because a lot of people are wary of receiving anything for free (because nothing truly is free in general) - particularly when that free offer comes from an unsolicited message online. Some people will be worried about the offer being some kind of phishing attempt or something. Many of us have been trained (for the right reasons) to avoid anything free and anything offered from unsolicited messages.

It could even be worth putting up a professional looking web page with the details of the $12 offer on it, so that if they bite on the free offer you can then send them to the web page to view the offer and pay etc.

Also, does anyone know if youtube has an automatic flagging system that kicks in when someone sends X amount of messages through their account?

So let's get to the meat of it...

At face level it's a good concept; here's how to make it REALLY work,.

    (1) Set up 3 - 4 social network sites in your targeted niche areas (ie florists)

    (2) Spend a week getting "likes / Friends etc" by connecting with like minded people.

    (3) Search out the videos you want to target on Youtube.

    (4) If the people are smart enough (the small business owner) they'll have a link to their website - if they don't, forget them.

    (5) Visit their website and contact them via their preferred contact means -

    (6) and offer the service....

    And be professional.

    Paul Barrs

PS. Also, with some you may notice that their websites are old and out of date... there's another service for you that you can offer if yo have the skills - fix them up.

Do they have a professional Facebook / twitter profile? No? There' another service you can offer?

Is their website Mobile? Another one etc etc etc.

Just make sure that you CONTACT THEM the way THEY want to be contacted.

One good client can potentially be worth thousands over the space of a few months.
