When people opt in, where do you redirect them?

Do you redirect them to one of your affiliate products?

Do you have a thank you page?

Do you give them instructions, to make sure they find their emails?

I'm trying to decide which is most effective, so please share your favourite method.

I like to redirect mine to a video thank you page and in that video I also give them the instructions to confirm their email.

    Cheers

As soon as they optin I give them clear instructions on how to get their free gift.

...I'm not a big fan of taking them straight to a sales page like a lot of marketers do.

Whatever the offer to which I opt-in, I want to be taken to a page where i can access the offer that was made in the first place. It's perfectly OK if there's a video, if it labelled as a "thank you" page. I find it quite annoying when I am taken to a "series" of up-sell pages that has a small link at the bottom of the page saying "No thank you, take me to the download page for the basic offer". Give me the download link first, THEN present the OTO so I can chose to ignore it.

I redirect them to what I promise them in the first place, the download page, why continue wasting your prospect's time, some of my niches I don't use double optin, I used to think it was CANN SPAM requirement but it's not, and it actually worked out better..I have heard all the arguments for and against it.

So it depends on what you are trying to achieve and how much prospects you can afford to lose by taking them through many hoops

For me personally, I don't think there is one style of thank you page that will works for all websites.

It is a matter of testing out different thank you pages and stick to the one that gives the best conversion. Yeap, it might take some time to drive consistent flow of traffic to the website and start testing different thank you page, but I think that tracking results is the key to getting better results.

What works for one person does not mean that it will work for another person. Testing and tracking conversion is still the key.

Hope my humble contribution is useful to this thread

When people opt in you can redirect them on direct product landing page or on thanks page. You can redirect them on your next offer which is more attractive then first one so people are attracted of it also.
