What Do I do with this new site of mine

A month ago i started a site on quotes ( The Best Life Quotes) and i feel totally stressed by it; I don't intend to sell it and that's why i feel some support would do.
1. The arrangement of the quotes is poor.
2. I can't write too much content on my own where can i get quotes writers.
3. When will it start paying and how.
4. can i get a template that is designed for quotes.... if so where?
This are among my many worries but i here those who have succeeded in internet marketing have gone through the same. Was it as much as this......

      Jimmy,

Quotes sites are huge! There's still a lot of opportunity here. So don't be discouraged.

Here are some ideas to consider...

      1. Go to the big quotes sites and see what they are up to. What is good about them? How can you improve their concept?

      2. Looking at your posts, I think you are on the right track with the format you used on the Ghandi post. That one focused on one person, including some paragraphs for background information and then some quotes. This will be good for SEO as people search for "Ghandi quotes".

      3. Insurance, event management, stock exchange don't seem to fit with the theme of life quotes. (Insurance quotes are something totally different anyway).

      4. You can get writers on elance, but you don't need that much written content. You can find quotes on other quote websites or in books.

      5. Invite more interaction with website visitors. Ask them "What's your favorite quote about ____ "

Yeah, get a decent theme and then look at the content. There is a good Google app for your google home page that gives 5 new quotes a day, that may help too.

    Hey,

If it helps Jimmy... this one is one of my favourite sites.

World of Inspiration / Quotations about Inspiration and Motivation - very simple site and the layout for me is spot on!

    Hope this helps,

When it starts paying will depend on how soon you can get visitors; and of course how many visitors.

To commercialise (monetize) a site like that your probably looking at selling advertising, adsense or affiliate marketing. Your main problem though is in identifying your target market.

I don't think quotes from famous people is a niche that is likely to bring a lot of revenue; I haven't checked it out so i could be wrong but I don't think it is a paying niche of itself. People who look for quotes can ususlly get them for free somewhere on the net.

I can't think of any related niche off the top of my head. But you will need to identify your target market. You need to be able to describe your typical customer in order to sell to them.

I would look at monetizing it with adsense or like someone else mentioned try to sell advertising space there.

If you are building a list then there too then you could perhaps create your own backend product to sell like an audio book perhaps or an inspiring video course

    Stop Stop Stop

Before you invest your valuable time answer these 3 questions:

    1. What is the objective of this site?
    2. What's in it for you, i.e. How will you monetize it
    3. What in it for the visitor, why would they come back every day

Now if you still think it is worth your time, consider the keyword potential if any.

Then consider how you will get it to rank.

You could modify an article submission site or get the "Ask it" site from Elegant themes and ask on their forum or on fiverr to modify it to your needs.

Personally don't see the point of this site and if it is causing you stress, then even less.

This is great advice and everyone should take this into consideration before setting up a site.
