Help Choosing Domains

Hi there Warriors,
i've been using google adwords keyword tool to see what global and monthly figures pop up on a search with exact match enabled.
Can anyone tell me what is a good figure to consider buying the domain if it's available. What i guess i'm really asking is what's the minimum number for global and local monthly figures.
I'm also confused by estibot and valuate which have returned estimated prices over $100 of some of my domain names which get zero global numbers.
Any feedback much appreciated.
Thanks!

You have to think first about promotion of your site and related of promoting keyword you can select domain. A country specific domain well be extra beneficial.

Regarding estibot or any other domain appraisal service, IMO, you can't trust any of these automated appraisal sites. I've seen site some numbers over the years and I would not rely on the data I've seen for auto domain appraisal.

For me, I think the barest minimum would be 1500 exact monthly local searches but I usually go for at least 3000 exact monthly local searches. I also look if there are varying keywords associated with my primary keyword that also gets good exact local searches. This helps me decide if I go with the domain.

Really you need to see the end game first. What is the product or service you are selling? Find the top 10 competitors for your market. Walk through there whole marketing funnel or steps they use to get to a sale and then look at there domain name, meta-tags keywords, meta-description, etc... See who has the most traffic using something like Quantcast.com. Get your top 3 sites and then model your marketing funnel like the top 3 and buy the Domain Name that is an exact match to your product or service. Like if you are selling SEO training videos a domain like "easyseotrainingvideos.com"

Estibot and any automated domain appraisal thingys are inaccurate and shouldn't be relied on.
