NEED ASSISTANCE- Got C and D Letter Today

Hi

I had a number of websites built for me a while back from a provider here on WF, a few of which had brands in the domain names.

I know, I know- not a good idea, pretty dumb etc etc - should have really researched this in the first place.

Anyway, I will never have a site with brands/trademarks in them ever again.

So today I got a cease and desist email informing me to immediately remove the site and to not use the name again - considering myself pretty lucky actually.

The sites are built in wordpress.

Can someone tell me how to completely shut it down and remove all the content on my end?
Not entirely sure how to do this.

Press the Delete button for all files.

Put up a simple html page for all sites informing that this site is shut down.

So I can just do this through C-panel on my hosting?

First, go into your dashboard and put the site into maintenance mode. This will take it offline.

If you used Fantastico to install WP, go back into Fantastico and remove the installation that way. If you just delete the files, Fantastico leaves some files behind that will make it tougher to install WP again later (for a new domain).
