Exit Splash Copy? Suggestions?
I'm using the exit splash script for my product.
Basically I have my main product, if they click off of the homepage they get offered a $10 discount, and if they click off that page I give them a freeby to opt in to my list.
Here are my 2 questions:
1) Do using "Exit Impact alert messages" before the actual "exit message" work better to get people to stay till the next page?
...example, when they click off the homepage they'd see the "Exit Impact alert messages" say something like "Wait! On the next screen click cancel to stay on the current page and get something special"
...then the exit message would come up and have the leave or stay on page button and say something like "Click Cancel to stay on the current page and get something special!"
Or should I just have the exit message without the exit impact alert message before it?
2) Do specific exit messages work better to get people to stick around or more vague?
Example...Is "Click cancel to get $10 off of this product for a limited time" or is "Click cancel to get a special gift from us for a limited time" better?
Thanks Warriors!
