Flippa SCAM! Buyers beware!

Just ran into this auction on Flippa. I would normally just report it to Flippa support, however they are not in on the weekend.

All you have to do is take a look at the pricing and it you can tell it is a scam. Refer to the comments below in the auction too.

Anyone have any ideas how to proceed so some poor individual doesn't waste their money on a worthless website?

This comment has been posted on Flippa on his auction and he has yet to respond to the comment and keeps deleting the comment repeatedly.

Why do you keep deleting my comments? The fact that you do only leads me to believe that you are in fact scamming people. I have had no choice but to report you to the FTC. Perhaps you should consider the following.
The FTC periodically joins with other law enforcement agencies to monitor the Internet for
potentially false or deceptive online advertising claims.
If your advertisements don't comply with the law, you could face enforcement actions or civil lawsuits. For advertisers under the FTC's jurisdiction, that could mean:
orders to cease and desist, with fines up to $16,000 per violation should they occur.
injunctions by federal district courts. Violations of some Commission rules also could result in civil penalties of up to $16,000 per violation. Violations of court orders could result in civil or criminal contempt proceedings.
in some instances, refunds to consumers for actual damages in civil lawsuits.

Also, please explain why this auction was listed 10 days ago and sold for over $2000. Are you reselling sites after buyers purchase them? I know the process by which Flippa relist sites and they will have a disclaimer at the top saying that the site was relisted with their permission.

Here is the comment for anyone interested:

    Hello,
I am considering placing a bid on your auction. However, I have a few questions first.
I've noticed that your PayPal screenshot is not showing the net amount of payments received in the screenshot. Can you please upload a screenshot that shows the amount after fees? Also, I don't see anywhere in the screenshot where it says payments received. This is a little troubling. Can you please explain this?
Second, would you be willing to sign a sworn affidavit stating that the financial claims that you are making about this website and business are true and for this business? Along with the affidavit, would you allow an audit of your PayPal account to confirm that this is a real screenshot of payments received for the website?
Third, will the winner of the auction be able to reach your current customer base? I'm assuming that since all contact is through emails you have all of their emails. This is essential to running a successful business and should not even be a question of whether or not it is included in the sale.
Fourth, if I win this auction, I expect that I will be invoiced via PayPal for the purchase of goods and not services and that you will send me a disc with the site files and database on the disc. This way if there is a problem for either me(the buyer) or you the seller PayPal is able to intervene and decide the outcome at their discretion. It becomes a tangible good.
I would also expect that you would sign Flippa's contract of sale.
If you are able to fulfill all of my requests, I will be glad to Buy It Now.
    Thank you

Looks like it might have been removed now. When I tried to access the link in your first post it was not found.

Perhaps someone else has reported them!

Flippa support is not in on the weekends. I am unable to post full links because of my post count. Please be sure to remove the spaces and then try entering the link into your browser again.

And why on earth is the site "a scam"?

Your comment sounds very rude and demanding, if i were a seller i would NOT sell to you, there is already trouble on the horizon reading your comment.

If you write in public that someone is scamming, then please elaborate WHY and not with some odd explanation like "his pricing" is indication for a scam?

Until now you actually failed to prove that your public out-calling of him as a scammer has any base.

    Edit:

Last time i checked we still lived in a free society where everyone can charge whatever amount for their service(s) or product.....$28/article is indeed not so "far out" as you think. If someone pays that amount..who cares?

But it's a far shot to disrupt someone's auction with stupid comments like "nobody would pay $28 for an article" - let alone going so far and saying that he is a scammer simply because you don't agree with his article prices.

He has repeatedly deleted my comment. He will not respond to my concerns either. I had legitimate questions and he chose to delete the comment without responding. Read the whole thing.

Did you read the whole comment? Nobody said that is my comment in the first place. However the flippa user that commented does not think that it is a scam simply because of the high article prices. The seller of that auction is deleting the comments without even responding to them.

As I can feel you pain, spamming someones listing is not really mature. Report it and move on. You sure are acting like a kid who just got his candy taken away by a bully on the playground.

I really can feel that you are concerned but don't make yourself the self appointed Flippa Patrol. Just report it to the proper personnel and you have done your duty. Besides, its up to anyone interested in purchasing to do their own due diligence before entering into something and if they get scammed then it is up to them to file the appropriate claims.
