Dear Warriors,

I need some help. Few months back my paypal account got shut down due to some stupid reason. As we know paypal do not tell us why they shut down your account. I had few refunds and boom my account gone.

any ways now i came across alert pay. I don't know much about Alert pay. I need to know how different are they comparing to Paypal on receiving money. I want to run paid wso and need a strong replacement for paypal.

what would you suggest for me. Early Thanks

Alert Pay is a legitimate payment service. But it's not as widely used as PayPal. In my opinion, there really isn't a payment processor at this time that can truly replace PayPal because so many people use PayPal.

I have accounts at both and have used both.

Here is the problem you are going to run into. Just about everyone has a paypal account now but the group of people with alertpay is much smaller.

Not that it is an inferior service, just that paypal is very popular.

I am not certain, but I think most of the WSO tools that are out there only support paypal.

Just like paypal, you can pay with a credit card through alertpay though.

You could look at some of the other aggregator services like 1shoppingcart, etc. so you can still take paypal too.

I agree with Mike, Alertpay is good but it's much smaller and there are lots of people that just don't use it. I used it for a while and my sales dropped quite a bit.

I now use 2checkout because my customers can still pay with Paypal but it doesn't go directly through my own Paypal account so there is no worry about Paypal closing your account.

I use AlertPay and like them. They're a great alternative but not really a strong competitor to PayPal. I just had PaySpree upgraded to allow members to accept more payments processors including AlertPay.

With PayPal seemingly becoming trigger happy on many accounts, I can see AP growing in popularity, but I don't think they ever intended to be a true PP competitor.

i have been using paypal since 2008 and done thousands of transaction and they didn't even bother telling me why they took such action. I heard 1shoppingcart takes huge chunk from the transaction . Paypal takes 4%.

Sheryl could you please tell me bit more about 2 checkout. Some information about the user interface. Is it easy to use. Do you know how much cut they take from the Transaction.

    Thanks

Paypal has the widest market base right now and alert pay or even the others aren't even close. Maybe you should try to open another paypal account.

i would open another 1 but they said not to open another account. so i need to get new card and use different address. i do not want to take risk of receiving payments and my account being frozen with all the money. Not a good idea.

You can open another paypal account with your name but its type must be different from the previous one.

I've been using Clickbank, Paypal And MoneyBookers and I'm actually quite fond of moneybookers more so than the other two.

I have and use both. AlertPay is just as easy to use as PayPal in my opinion. Now, when I get orders, I offer them AlertPay first and PayPal second, letting them know that AlertPay is my preferred method of receiving payment. About 40% pay through AlertPay. I assume the rest are paying from a PayPal balance.

If you can't use Paypal, try 2checkout. If you look, there are coupons to cover the application fee and you can accept Paypal through 2CO.

I Think 2checkout has to be the option for now.
Amanda- do you know how much they charge for the application and what do i need to get approved. Any specific information required?

in my eyes i only see "2checkout" who accepts creditcard and paypal payments. Google dont seem to accept paypal payments. Does any body know how much 2 checkout charge on transactions?

2Checkout has a joining fee of around $50 - a one time fee.

Then their percentage per transaction is a bit higher than Paypal at 5.5% + $0.45 per transaction.

I price my items accordingly for the extra fee when I changed to 2CO. Even though there is that initial joining fee, it has been well worth it in my experience.

They are very easy to use and the customer support is quite good too. I highly recommend 2checkout.

WHB3WPFA or xcart2co11 should waive that fee.

Alertpay is better than paypal as it is accepting payments from ptc sites as well. Alertpay is new and legit. Soon it will overcome paypal. Paypal is no longer good for many countries as they have created many restrictions nowadays

Alertpay is good but it won't overtake Paypal due to their Ebay connection.

I agree with some here that 2CO would be best. Good for those with and without Paypal accounts.

      Hi,

I have used Paypal for over 8(eight) years now and really love it.
But with our new "internet money making system" they only allowed us to use Alertpay.com which was kind of bad at the begining. first they removed the "paid by Check" for Norway and then the "credit card" option was gone. Now it`s only "Bank Transfer" left, and this is working very well. It takes max 5 days from I transfer to I get the money into my private bank account which is good.
I usually transfer around 1500-2000 USD each week from goodleadz.com to alertpay and then to my bank account.
The only thing with alertpay that is bad is that they have only a certain amount of credit cards you can add to your alertpay account which is really bad. And the verification for transfer more money is really complicated. But all in all, Alertpay.com works fine for our purpose.
(PS: Their customer service is slow, and their answer is rubish ).

Alterpay is a good service but it cannot replace paypal. You can use alertpay as an alternative until you get your paypal back. Did you ask the paypal people why they closed your account?

Its the first i've ever heard about that payment service so i would definitely recommend paypal however i am not saying that alert pay is not good. Paypal is so popular you can get payments from so many different places to your paypal account. I got an account suspended once also with them because of a very stupid reason. which was because i changed my account to a business one however i could not send all the info they requested. With that account suspended i created another one which they had no problem with.

With that said i understand what you mean, but the fact is there isn't really any alternatives.

    Best regards

When doing some research on this I read that with 2checkout you are limited to one domain per vendor account?

I think this is a killer for anyone with multiple domains...

Does anyone using 2checkout know more about this?

Why don't you just made another paypal account ? I know some people that have several paypal accounts. But you have to know the game because paypal rule is very strict.

Alert Pay is having difficulties at the moment. Processing credit cards and bank account transaction processing are suspended. Only way to deposit is mail them a check.

    Hopefully will be resolved soon

Trying signing up for Paypal again using a different email account. Even better, trying signup for two Paypal accounts if you think you might be cancelled again. Payapl is the best! Just hang in there...
