Squidoo Policy Update - No Direct Aff Link?

Hi all Warrior,

It has been a while since my last activity inside Squidoo so I don't know if there's an update of their policy.

Is it true that Squidoo no longer allowing us to put direct affiliate link (i.e to Amazon)? How about if it's cloacked affiliate link? Is it still considered as direct affiliate link?

Thanks

I do not believe this is the case. They made alot of changes for the bio box, but you can link from the body of the text.

So do you mean direct affiliate linking still allowed?

But i read one people mentioned about this policy change here: hxxp://www..squidoo.com/instantarticlewizard3review

He said: All links here are affiIiate links. I had to shorten them not because i am trying to hide the fact from you that i get compensated for referring visitors, but because Squidoo does not allow direct affiliate links anymore.

Yes, direct affiliate linking is allowed in Squidoo HOWEVER, there are a number of topics that Squidoo no longer allows to be published on their site. That may be the change to which people are referring, although that was awhile ago.

There is also a limit to the number of outbound links you can include on a lens. This is meant to keep lenses from being overly promotional. Some domains are whitelisted, like Amazon.

Read their TOS and especially their Squid Don't topics to see if the program you want to promote would be allowed.

(FYI - that lensmaster created just a handful of lenses quite a long time ago and his lens is out of date so I wouldn't rely on his comments about Squidoo TOS at all.)
