What is the Key to a successful WSO?

Off the top of my head -

- Great reputation on the forum and off
- A big customer list
- A big affiliate partner list
- A fantastic product
- A great sales letter
- Awesome upsells
- A video demo (if it's software, less necessary for info product)
- A lot of free time to live in the WSO thread and provide timely answers to questions

- Testimonials, an absolute must, I can't believe I didn't think of that!

Only thing I'd add to Andy's is getting testimonials from big names on the forum. Whenever I scroll through testimonials I'm usually looking for a name (or names) I'm familiar with.

It is a multitude of factors.

And some luck to be picked as WSO of the Day

All the things people have listed above are good but it all comes down to one thing and one thing only - the product. I have seen several products lately that had ALL of the above and started off flying out the door only to bomb out later because the products were not as described or the customer service (which is still part of the product) was not up to scratch.

If your product is of poor quality you won't sell many. If your product is great you can still sell quite a few without having any JV's or affiliates. Word spreads very quickly around these forums - especially when there is something remarkably good or remarkably bad. Affiliates and JV's will come after YOU if your product is good enough. It also helps if your product has wide market appeal - this will also help your chances of becoming WSO of the Day.

So concentrate on making your product the absolute best it can be. If you don't think people are going to feel they have ripped YOU off when they purchase your product then you need to go back and re-think your product and give it some kind of WOW factor.

Become friends with the warriors who cross promote WSO's every day! There seems to be a group that sends out a "this is the greatest and must have wso" every single day....

Just released my first WSO yesterday, so would be interested to see what people think!

Personally, it seems the biggest and best WSOs all come from reputable people, who are selling top quality information at a good price.

If you can replicate that level of quality, you should do well.

Just seen a similar thread to this one.

The key to making money online in ANY niche is to offer VALUE.

The WSO section is no different.

However as this is a marketing forum - most of them are techniques, methods etc... to help people to make money online.

The WORST thing you can think about doing is making a WSO telling people how to make money if you can't yourself.

Not saying that is the case just a friendly heads up.
