Hacker alert...Siphononing affiliate payments

Hacker Alert...There is a very sophisticated hacker siphoning affiliate commissions.

We know he is hacking skype accounts to get logins and other sensitive information.

there is also some evidence he is able to hack into gmail accounts as well, he is very
aggressive and will even dispute paypal complaints when they have been brought to
paypals attention.

He is also using proxy servers to access databases to keep changing the paypal emails, we have had to lock our server down so only accredited IP address's can get access to cpanel (we have a dedicated server and fixed IP address's)

Known email address's used by the hacker to divert affiliate commissions can be seen here

My suggestion is you check all future affiliate payments against this list

The cheeky ******* has even hacked into affiliates skype accounts to try and persuade me to send him affiliate payments to his email address.

As you can see from the email list on that page he is registering email address's which includes company names to make them more believable.

We know he has been targeting sites all around the net, his usual modus operandi is to access the database and search for people who are owed comissions then change the emails to his.

I would like to have the SOB's face in my hands but as that isnt probably going to happen, alerting as many people as i can is the next best thing.

Thanks for the heads up Robert.

I don't understand why hackers put so much effort into stealing other people's income when it's not that hard to make money legitimately.

I'm sure his run will end soon.

The biggest reason for me posting this is to protect afffiliates, they are the life blood for most programs, and it pains me when they get ripped off. We have been sending out replacement payments to affiliates we found had been ripped off and letting them know to watch their accounts.

We are also sending out pre notifications of commission payment being due so people can double check their accounts ahead of us doing the commission runs.

    Bump.

Thanks for the heads up Robert. I swear sometimes I think that thieves are out to shut down business on the net. If it's not products, it's content -- looks like that wasn't even enough. This makes me just sick.

Is this only done through skype and gmail (so far)? At this point I'm using neither, thank goodness.

It's amazing to hear about the elaborate schemes these guys will engage in to rip others off. I've had my email accounts busted into twice in the last few years, and the cleverness these thiefs employ is more than I ever would have expected.

in the last two days I had two sites go down due to some "bad data" in the .htaccess file. suddenly im not getting a single hop through to clickbank
seems fishy to me. I did a security scan on the two sites and one of them was said to have malware on it
