Has Youtube been hacked or ... ?

I tried going into Youtube by Firefox and this is what I got:

500 Internal Server Error

Sorry, something went wrong.

A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.


Are they hacked or ... ?

  • Maybe it's your internet problem.

    You can try using this site IsUp.Me -> Check if your website is down or up? if it shows it's up, then it's your ISP fault if it says it's down, it would be down for everyone

    • there has a been a big stink about certian cert companies having to prove to firefox that they have not been compromised.

      this could be that, the companies not complying with firefox are simply
      going to show up as unavailable or untrusted

      if you have noticed all the FF security updates last few days. that is what that is about.

    • I would download google chrome... It's much better in my opinion. Since google owns YouTube my guess is it should work.

      It's faster, has better productivity apps (I don't think FF even has apps.... Even in 2011), and is way less cluttered.

      Give it a shot if you haven't yet!

  • I had the 500 Internal Server Error for a week when trying to visit the warrior forum, I had to use Chrome which worked fine. I did not attempt to find out what happened. Whatever it was resolved itself.

    Coincidence: As I was about to post this I had a "Database Error" from WF :-(

    • That's a resident error! I get that all the time. Might be due to inconsistent connection with the DB.
  • What is the issue behind youtube has been hacked ? Is this some fake one or is this true since i usually upload video stuff from youtube.Please let me know as early as possible.
