Chart your own course

One of the most important things in Internet Marketing Business is having a list of subscribers that you can send your offers to once in a while. The importance of list building cannot be overemphasised. You have a ready base of customers that you can email your offers at a point in time. These people know you as a result of relationship that has been built over a period of time and so are more likely to buy from you.

Many of us are subscribers to other people's list. They send their offers to us and if we are interested, we buy from them. We are what somebody referred to as "consumers" in the business, but have we thought of having our own list of subscribers by getting an autoresponder, building a squeeze page to collect the necessary information and building a relationship with our subscribers, who will eventually be ready to buy from us when the time comes?

There are people that have been able to build a large list of subscribers over time. People like Ewen Chia, Mike Filsaime, Akin Alabi, Derek Gehl, Alok Jain, Oluwafisayo Akinlolu, Jim Rohn, Iyabo Oyawale, Rachel Long and a host of others. These people have been able to chart a course for themselves in Internet Marketing Business and so can you if you are ready to persevere.

It does not really take a fortune or special, out-of-this-world skill to build a list. The first thing you need is an autoresponder at least from my own point of view. Getresponse and Aweber are good. Open an account with any of them and upgrade. Register a domain name which you are going to use as the site for getting the subscribers. Create a squeeze page using the domain name you registered in order to collect the necessary information. Remember, a squeeze page is different from a sales letter. Make it as short as possible. In the squeeze page you can promise a free ebook, a free software, a free ecourse, a free seminar and anything you can offer for free in exchange for their needed information. In the squeeze page which is a mini site, you can offer whatever you are offering describing what they will gain from the free product or service you are going to give them. Any interested person will put down the necessary information and click on the appropriate button. When this happens, he/she automatically becomes a member of your list and you can start building a relationship with him/her. However, make sure you deliver the free product/service and bombard them with offers immediately. Be genuinely interested in their success. Yours depend on that.

It is time to chart your own course and develop your own business. Move from the group of "consumers" to the group referred to by the same person as "producers"

We will get there.
