It was most likely a free WSO of some sort. Units were probably over 1k...but that's just my guess.

Not units in terms of # bought.....BUT PRICE? Trying to dertimine the threshhold of the what the Warrior Forum would bare for an in demand product.

I believe it was Justin Michie who put out a report on running a successful WSO. He addressed different price threshholds in the report and explained they type of people who buy at each level. Can't find the link. But it's worth searching for.

I am pretty sure that link is a sticky at the top of the forum...

Not sure there is any way to calculate this since the forum does not track sales.

And plus, the WSO forum is a whole different ballgame nowadays with people constantly bumping their WSO's to the top. The forum moves much quicker than it used to.

I have no idea, but on the old forum there's a thread right at the top of the main discussion forum that talks about how the WF has made folks a lot of money. Inside that thread, a few people talk about how much money they've made with WSOs... that might give you an idea.

I dont think the forum has many limits. There are probably some big spenders on the forums apart from domains I dont really buy anything.

I' ve sold a few $300 custom videos with the help of a WSO.
Not to mention some profitable deals thanks to people who' ve contacted me because of a WSO.

But that is not nearly the top- I believe there are copywriters and graphics artists who charge a lot more in a WSO.
But then again graphic design and copywriting is a service and you get something custom created for you. If you want to sell something expensive, I' d offer a service of some sorts.

I guess it depends on what you consider successful. Making sales with a lot of refunds is not what I would consider a success. I heard there was many refunds because he promised the moon on that one.

I still see other members using those screenshots from that wso for their social proof. lol

Yeah that is true from what I've head however it answers the question of what Warriors are willing to pay. Now if he had better support and actually delivered then it would have been very successful. Something I think anyone can do with an actual plan in place to handle that many people at one time.

Ok...so far i"ve seen a $300 price point and $197 price point. Has anybody seen any WSO's that went for $1,000, $2,000, $3000 a piece (or per unit of product/service sold)?

    Thoughts?

Just remember that a WSO has to be a special offer with a price point less than what the general public pays.

Yes...lets pretend that the normal rate is $5,000-$7,000....do you think the forum would support a $1,997 WSO !

At those price points, I'd be more concerned with my normal rate buyers finding out and becomming belligerent.

But yes, I think the forum will definitely support a $1,997 WSO. But it totally depends on the offer. And you have to realize that the prospect pool will be limited.

A better way to promote a product/service in that price range would be to JV with people who have lists of buyers who are proven to be open to such offers.

It depends on how many units you realistically want to sell.

That's an excellent point! Or two, actually...

How can you set a value, without testing?
Then do you offer "rebates" when you have the WSO?

Sounds kind of like the OP is wanting to launch a high-ticket product via the WSO forum,
but as I understand it, you've got to already have sales before you can offer an "exceptional value"...

I ran a series of WSO's back in the AdSense days, 3 years
back or so selling keyword lists that morphed into a very
    successful membership site.

Not counting the mailing lists I built around that niche,
they brought in close to $2,000,000 and counting.

Yes...but we are not counting TOTAL dollars brought in....just what is the highest price point the Warrior Forum can bare for an "in demand" product.

Okay. My thought is why you keep asking this question.

If you have a product that is worth a 4-figure price tag, sell it for that price.

You keep asking what the WF can "bear" - and that depends on the product.

If you are trying to find out the highest price point for a WSO so you can adjust your price, that doesn't make sense to me.

          BINGO!!

Shay hit the nail on the head with her post.

How much is your product worth?

I am pretty sure I have seen WSO'S in the $1,997 range that sold a couple - well, it looked like it by reading replies.

There is plenty of successful people here with plenty of money. If your product or service warranted a 5K price tag, I would imagine you could sell it.

                Hey Chris,

Are you going to go into any detail, or what? What kind of product are you talking about? You keep asking vague questions about how much someone might pay...for what? What I'd pay depends on what is being offered.

But, I have to tell you, with the way you are asking for "Thoughts, Opinions?", my thought would be I'd be leary of buying from you. You are setting off my "Scam Detector"... Bells & Whistles, baby! It seems like you are trying to figure out how much you can bilk people out of. You make no mention of what we would be willing to pay top dollar for. Actually, just seeing what type of high end market is here actually (nothing more..nothing less). I can understand why the little skepticism but its nothing more then seeing if the Warrior Forum is the place to sell my product.

Chris, just my opinion from lurking around here for a couple years before finally joining: it seems to me that most people shopping on WSO's are looking for low price stuff. First, I'm NOT saying warriors are cheap, it is just what I seem to see get the most response. Second, that does not mean a great product at a 1-2K price wont sell, but if I were a betting man I would not go that high on anything as a WSO. My gut tells me most people shopping there think $197 is a "high" number. So, my answer is 197 is about as high as I would go for a WSO.

Perhaps if you have a really great product that is worth a lot more, you can do a lower cost, more limited version and a "deluxe" model so-to-speak?

                    Just an opinion.

Not at all. Are you selling Prime Rib? Must be Angus. A better question might be, "Would you buy "X" product?...At what price point?"

And, by the way, McDonald's has the "Riblet" sandwich. Nothing "Prime" about it...what's prime about your product?

It makes no difference what the maximum price points WSO's have sold for in the past without considering the context of those WSO's. Namely:

                    - Who sold them and what kind of following that person had prior to offering it
                    - The nature of the products/services that were sold for those high price points
                    - How many units were actually sold (just because they were offered at a high price doesn't mean they sold)

                    Make sense?

My thinking is it shouldn't matter to you what the highest price is a WSO sold for in the past. What should matter is what the highest price point a WSO sold for in the past that resembles your current offering as closely as possible.

Otherwise there's no contextual basis for comparison.

                    Hope this helps,
                    Ken

Your are 100% correct with your analysis. Was just getting a general feel for the market here (and to be honest) I haven't seen higher priced WSO's at all and was thinking of not offering it here because of the price-threshhold the WF seems to have.

Thanks again for your valued response !

                      Sincerely,

If you want to research than research the WSO section or WSO Tracker on warriorplus.com.

Edited: If you do run a wso and it doesn't turn out right, please don't complain there are no buyers for large ticket items here. It only hurts yourself.

I hope you sell a lot Chris. I don't understand this post if you are sure it will sell really well.

                            I did $15,000 on a WSO once.

Proof in attachment... (oops, apparently the image is all small and stuff. Larger image is at... http://www.easyvideosales.com/images...-casestudy.gif )

In fairness though, I did mail my list too, but it was pretty small at the time.

Looks like your price point was $300....correct?

    Hi Chris,

Looks like a few people offered a few price points.

I had two initial thoughts, then a third.

    1. I spent $400 on a garbage WSO and the SOB ripped me off, though he would never admit it. Good thing he had the knowledge to leave the WF.

    2. I'm not sure, but I think I remember seeing a copywriting WSO for $997. There may have been a few extras to add value.

And after a bit more thought...

    3. Why not ask what the lowest price point is that you can afford to offer?

    Just a few thoughts.

    All the best,
    Michael

The highest price the warriors will pay is exactly what the product is preceived to be worth.

If you think the product is worth $1,997 (yes there have been lots of wso for that price) then list it and the market will give you the answer when they see it.

It costs $20 to list it regardless of the price point.

I could say 5 figures was the highest price paid that I have seen, but that doesn't mean your product would sell for the same price because it might be a totally different product, different niche, different format, different everything.

You obviously wouldn't be selling to newbies, most of them would not have that type of money. However, if you're aiming at advanced members, and you provide them with good value, the sky is the limit.

I forget now--but I made a post about this subject a while back. There have been wso's for over 6 figures if I remember correctly.
I can't even remember what it was for, but I think it was someone selling their online business.
I think I also recall one listed at around $68,000 or so.
I tried doing a search for that old thread but I am coming up short.
