Places to release eBook

I have created and small eBook guide about WP plugins and would like to know where I could release it.

I currently just have it on digiresults allowing my affiliates to get 75% commission (it's only a $5 eBook). Are there any other places I could release it that would get a lot of attention or traffic?

I considered doing ClickBank but they don't see to have many eBooks there. Should I try it anyway?

Should I consider upgrading to being a paid member and releasing it as a WSO? I even considered making it free and just building a list.

Please let me know if you have any advice on this.

Don't know if you already thought of this, you could also list it with e-Junkie , it's only $5 and then make it available to their affiliates too.

If this is a market you want to build into a business, then yes, I would build a list based on this product and sell additional products/services on the back-end.

A $5 product is going to be very difficult to get affiliates to promote, there just is not enough commission to make it worth while.

A WSO is another option certainly, but I would use it as an incentive to build a list given that well treated lists can pay off for years and years to come.

Do you think I should make it a free WSO then?

Agreed with Jeff on this one. At $5 it's going to be difficult to get the major players involved in affiliation unless your book is the bomb.

And yes the WSO is an option but you have to build the cost into it and be sure you are going to cover that cost. In cases like this, I would normally give it away for free in exchange for an opt-in.

I would organize your entire lead and sales funnel around giving it away...that means filter all traffic (SEO, partner promotion, paid if you want to go that way, blog, etc...) toward your free report with front-end opt-in.

You may want to even turn that into a video as well touching the main points of your report and give access to that away as added incentive.

I would put it to a 100% commision to be honest, building your list at this stage (with a $5 product) would be more worthy than money. At a later stage with your next product you can hit your list with it. I'd think on the long term rather than taken some income at the moment however, I would also put it as a WSO as well.

Clickbank does work with ebooks, but it takes work to find affiliates to promote it.

There are tons of products on Clickbank that people never bothered trying to find affiliates for, hence they don't have any promoting it.

Build your list with this one but don't give it away to build a list. You can offer bonuses to those who purchase to be a smart and generous business man/woman. When you give away free product to build a list, you tend to get lots of freebie seekers and thats not good for business.

Even at $5, you at least know that yiu are building a buyers list. Go ahead and reward them for buying your product. If they like your first product and you provide good customer service, chances are you will sell other products to your list. Good luck

If you want to use your ebook for the purpose of traffic and list building, try free ebook sites like free-ebooks.net. scribd.com, slideshare.net - have a call to action at the end of your ebook to opt-in to your list.
