Is september a slow month for spending money?

Has anyone else noticed September being a slow month across the board for people spending money?

Let me rephrase that, spending money on anything besides back-to-school supplies.

When school starts back my traffic usually goes up, but everything else seems to go down.

      Same here, I haven't noticed it and I think it is not about the month. People spend on something like shopping to malls or through online anytime of the year. But what I have observed is that people are starting to prepare themselves for the busiest, festive and I would say, the most expensive time of the year, Christmas time.
      I have noticed lately that more and more people are now into online shopping simply because they just want to avoid the rush of people at the grocery and department stores to prepare for the holiday season. And some people also are buying by bulk in numbers but with the lowest prices since they can have more items at a cheaper price.

        IMWinner I agree with you, people are starting to think about Christmas. I hate hate hate shopping, and if I can buy something online that suits my needs, I will. Delivered to my door, doesnt get any better than that!

        We need to come up with our Christmas special for our online biz...

    I think it is a tough month on parents. Not only do they have school supplies and clothes, but it seems that everyday the kids come home with new notes...Please send $10 for lab fees, purchase your child's yearbook now for $60, buy a gym t-shirt for $15.

    At least that's how it was a couple of years ago when my kids were still in school. September was a HARD month.

    So far we've had a busy September with our online biz. Same with hubby's day job, he's self employed and very busy. Sometimes it's dropped off in Sept. for him but not this year.

      I think as it gets colder in the fall more people are online, peaking in Jan or Feb... Sept should be better than summer months?

    September has been a lot better for me in regards to selling physical products, my Amazon sales are up for the month across all products.

    August, especially leading up to Labor Day Sucked!!!
