Show Pricing on my Facebook Fan Page?

Hi all,

I am offering a service on my fan page. I want to know, generally speaking if it is a good idea to show my price on the page. I dont have a website and am only using the fan page as my form of marketing. Its either show it on the fan page or only give them the price once they fill in my contact form. I would then email them with more details and the price

any suggestions welcome

    Depends on where you are at exactly.

    If you are just starting and want to show some competitive pricing, then I would say yes.

    If you have some clients and perhaps some testimonials already, I would say no.

    I don't necessarily charge the same thing for all clients. They all seem to have unique circumstances and live in different areas.

    Depends on if you have a set rate.

    You could offer perhaps a couple of packages that show pricing - but mention it can be negotiated based on circumstance - IE - offer a great price for bulk, but if someone wants something less they need to work that out privately.

    I would do some split testing. I find that in some niches, a large portion of people won't take the next step, without knowing a price. But that is one thing that you should always test.

    I think it depends on the type of service you're offering.

    For example, most backlinking services list the price on the landing page. Consultants on the other hand have a form for customers to fill out to 'request a quote'. Type in your service into Google and see what the top ranking websites are doing.

    Selling directly from Facebook seems like a good idea, I haven't had much success with a Facebook sales page though. It's for a dating product, check it out here.

    I think my problem with that page is lack of traffic though, not Facebook its self. I wish we could track the amount of visitors, that's a huge drawback with Facebook pages.

      Not if you use an i-frame for your fanpage. Then you can put whatever tracking or analytics you want on there.

        Wow I didn't know that, that was the #1 thing holding me back from getting more involved with Facebook pages.

        I don't use an iframe for that page, seemed complicated and didn't want to learn. But if you can add analytics to it I'll definitely spend the time learning. Thanks.
