Best WP Themes for Flipping

Dear Warriors,
There are so many high quality Wordpress Premium Theme providers out there, all offering various packages and styles to suit buyer needs.
Can you recommend any that allow for site flipping.
I was never that hot deciphering GNU Public versions 2.0 and GPL and all the other stuff.
I prefer to do things legally, especially if a big company approached me about a website they liked, and i need to say 'yes, i can hand over this theme, it's kosher.
Cheers!

    here check this out.

I think the developer license will allow you to transfer the site along with the theme.

Unfortunately this is a bit of a legal question so you might want to find someone on here who is good with IP legal issues.

You'll want to find out from the theme provider what their terms are for "assigning" the theme to a new owner. Assuming you're charging someone for the site itself rather than trying to sell the theme to someone as a standalone product, in my opinion you shouldn't run into any issues.

I buy the developer's license for all themes that I buy. I have a lot of Woo themes with the developer's license, but there are plenty of other themes that offer developer licenses. You can sell as many of them as you want with a developer's license.

Yupp... You can more or less get developer licenses for almost all the theme's online!

like #Suzanne - I've used quite a few Woo Theme's in the past - saves me a bunch of time designing them myself and they look good too

    Hope this helps,

The Appointment theme at Appointment | Templatic is cool for local businesses, professional practices, but it's not clear on the site if you can flip sites, even with the developer license? Anyone know the answer?

I think the Lifestyle theme by StudioPress is a great theme and I see it a lot of wordpress sites that get flipped.

This is what I could find in the FAQ over there Brian.

What are the Advantages/benefits of buying a Developer license ?

Developer theme or license enables you to use the theme for your clients also. You can use the same theme on multiple domains which you own or of your client’s. Plus the added advantage of PSD. Only developer license consists of PSD file. Standard license doesn’t include PSD file.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that means you can flip sites with it installed, but if that person wanted to sell the site with the theme installed they would have to buy a Developers license also.

Woothemes and Studiopress have long been the favorites for site flipping on Flippa. Flexibility is also a good theme for affiliate sites.

I disagree, you can flip sites built on Templatic themes. The license states that you cannot resell or redistribute the theme itself (alone), which is not the same as selling a site built on it. The text clearly states that we can use the theme for client work without any exact expression of what that means. "Client work" built on the theme indicates the right to payment in exchange for delivery of site built on theme... And as Tim has noted, Templatic do distribute with GNU license

Or you could throw in the developers license if the transaction value is high enough...

You got it straight from the horse's mouth here folks
It's funny, I ran across that theme a few days ago and was thinking of picking it up. Didn't expect to run across its creator just now.

(ugh, I hate how I can't include links, even if I'm quoting somebody else's link. I don't want to spam to get to 15 posts like some of these clowns do...)

Website flipping is one of the highest growing online markets. Website flipping is on the edge to become the next big thing. Domainer.com has developed a site template and domain establishment plan that is offered to all domainers. The text can come from bloggers; the returns come from the various link programs.

This is not legal advice and I am not a lawyer. This is what I have picked up in my travels around the web. If you find fault with it, I look forward to seeing it.

As most if not all themes come with some variation of a GNU license, because WordPress is a GNU licensed product they are required to give that license.

Once you receive a GNU licensed product, you have the right to sell or give away that product. You must give a copy of that license with the product.

I have restrained myself from buying these premium WP themes up til now, and I'm still fighting it as I already have Optimize Press and Elegant Themes.

But the header opt-ins in these themes seems almost worth it...

FlexSqueeze (*Not an affiliate link) -They too require the purchase of the developer license as do most others.

*Note they have a weird payment structure though, and unless you know you can sell enough to make em worth it, I find myself waiting for now...reluctantly!

    All the Best,

I bought a developers license for the Acme theme (ACME Theme | A Twenty Ten Child Theme For Marketers) and it works perfectly! You can customize it too look anyway you want.

It's a child theme to the default 2010 theme but also has squeeze pages, download pages and more.
