Hi,

This forum has become an integral part of my life. It's like second Google for me. Today, i am soughting for another help. I have an info product in the parenting niche. Although some targeted visitors are coming from search engine, it is yet to generate a sale. I know i need to improve traffic but right now, i am not sure of converting those into a buyer.. Warrior's suggestion will be appreciated.

Regards,
#warriors

This is a VERY vague question. It's like coming along and telling us your car does not work and asking us why. There is no way for us to help you unless we know a LOT more about your product and how you are currently trying to sell it.

Why don't you create a newsletter and ask people to sign up for it?

That way you will be able to keep in touch with your existing and potential customers... and be able to convert visitors into buyers...

My first question would be this. Did you do any market research beforehand to make sure this is actually the type of information parents are looking for AND more importantly, willing to pay for?

It just doesn't seem like a product that parents would be desperately searching for. I may be wrong.

Not sure what you are asking.

If you're asking how to get more traffic - all the usual things. Onsite seo, offsite seo, social networking etc, to raise you up in the search results.

If you're asking how to increase conversion rate - more convincing copy and better positioning of buy buttons and/or text links

How about getting 5000 targeted Facebook fans to take a look at your site?

      I'll pay that.

Sales letter isn't very good to be honest.

Look for similar offers that people are paying for google advertising for, take those keywords and rank on page one for them.

Then you may have a problem, because if you do a search for "smart parenting" you will find that someone is giving away the same book for free, though the cover is different.

Respectfully people I'm pretty amazed no one has looked at what Sandy has written.

Someone is giving away the book the OP wants to sell.

No disrespect to people telling the OP to do this and that but when a prospective customer realises they can get the book for free, they'll not only want their $17 back but the OP will lose all credibilty by having the "only 13 left" bit by the buy now button.

Utilize social media, social bookmarking especially Digg and StumbleUpon. Create squeeze page to build your list and consider email marketing.

Hey, The Hell Brothers here! I looked at your website and I have a few suggestions to help your converstion rate. First off, you need to understand that a converstion rate is equal to a prospects conection to you. Or your relationship that you are making with them. You must communicate with them as so many people are saying. Some ways to communicate on your website is adding a newsletter email optin form, a contact us form ( I see your email is not on the bottom of the page, Needs to be changed).

On the other hand, its also smart to instead of trying to drive a bunch of traffic to your site, go to where your prospects are also. For example, If you in the parenting niche, find a forum or blog that people communicate about it and add your own view on things and expertise. Thats what I am doing here. I want to help you would so you will see my passion for this and I want to build a relationship with you.

Its the same in any niche. So go to your prospects instead of trying to get them to always come to your website.

Indeed traffic equals sales and you must have alot of high quality traffic. ALways think about warming your prospect up before trying to sell them. Thats preselling. By adding a newsletter or free ebook, you can show your readers that you "do" know your stuff and they will be more inclined to buy from you or what you offer. Remember that the more you give the more your will recieve.

I hope this helps and expand on what I said here. Its all about relationship building so the like, know and trust you. Then they will buy and tell others to buy it also.

    Hope this helps,

I'd be curious about something.. looked at your site. That style of sales letter, has the same look that PLR/MRR products have had for the last 20 years, IOW since the invention of the internet practically... while the rest of the web has evolved as has marketing, that type of sales letter seems to still be used by a lot of people. As for me, I look at that and the first thing that comes to mind, is: Here is another cheap product that was sold as part of a PLR pack two decades ago.. still trying to squeeze more sales.

I think your landing page/sales page should be updated. You can buy some very nice landing pages at themeforest.net for $5 bucks. Go web 2.0

    Just my 2cents..

My advice is to get a squeeze page up, and have a free report that relates to your ebook, then buy some solo ads that are specifically targetted to your niche, so you may have to do some research, and drive traffic to that squeeze page, and have your ebook in your sales funnel.

    Hope this helps.
