    Hi albag999,

    Nice start!

But you are a little soft. Maybe you can bring the microphone closer to your mouth. Also, I could not catch your website when you were saying it. Maybe you can edit your video to display the link when you are saying it.

    Hope this helps!

Good job. Really liking it, nice and short, clear vocals.

Little quiet on my pc too.

Definitely edit to add your website text on screen, even clickable if possible.

Is this going to be on your website or attracting traffic through seo? YouTube vids are great to seo.

I think you can use a better camera. Seems like a VGA to me.

    A valiant first effort!

I would suggest that you make eye contact with your audience (the viewers) more often. It looks like you were reading from a script, so try to place your script as close to the camera as possible, or even print it out and place it behind the camera - you can enlarge the letters until you can read it comfortably.

I would also suggest to try and get more lighting on your face.

Congratulations! You've taken the first step and made a video - that's something 90% of people reading this won't bother to do. It's not too bad for a first effort.

    A few pointers:

    1. Speak up! You're whispering and it's very hard to hear what you're saying.

    2. If you need to read from a script, try using an autocue/ teleprompter so you can look the viewer in the eye. This service is one I've used, and it's a good one: EasyPrompter - The free, web-based, plugin-free, browser independent, online and offline teleprompter and auto-cue software (not an affiliate link) or you can download software from this site: http://www.freetelepromptersoftware.com
(again, not an affiliate link). I haven't used this software myself, so I can't endorse it - but hey, the price is right. Both turn your computer into an Autocue.

    3. Wear something different. I think you're wearing a tight, grey t-shirt, but the lighting makes it look like you're not wearing anything - not very professional.

    4. Speaking of lighting, you need to balance the light out a bit. One side of your face looks really bright courtesy of the light from the window, whilst the other side is in darkness. If you're recording your video on a PC and can't move the webcam away from where it is, try using a photographic reflector to bounce the light back up onto the dark side. You can pick them up for around £12 on eBay. If you're recording this on a laptop or a camcorder, position yourself so that you're facing the light.

Incidentally the best examples of "talking to the camera" YouTube videos I've seen are from Charlie McDonnell aka "charlieissocoollike" charlieissocoollike's Channel - YouTube. This guy has over one million subscribers on YouTube . Some of his more recent videos are quite slick as he's got more experience (and expensive equipment) but if you look at some of his early stuff - when he was just a geeky teenager making videos in his bedroom with a laptop and webcam - you can see what's possible with very little prior knowledge.

Good luck, and keep at it!
