Hey guys, just wanted to know where you have found the most success for your IM products, through posting WSOs or releasing your products on ClickBank?

I know the ideal answer would be to do both. But, if you could only do one or the other, where would you post your product?

Please only respond if you have done both before.

The big pro with posting WSOs is that this is where a lot of people who are looking to make money online come to learn. There is a massive market on this forum alone.

The big pro for posting on ClickBank is that you tap into the public market outside of the WarriorForum, pulling in potential customers that may not have seen your offer otherwise.

So, where do you stand?

Both here, and I can see that you have an idea why.

As per choosing only one channel, it depends on the target market
and how you are positioning yourself in the marketing industry.

If I had to choose I would take Clickbank.

The life of a product here is 1-2 weeks before the masses look for more shiny new stuff.

    Clickbank is longer term.

I really don't think so: surely almost no serious ClickBank affiliate is going to be willing to promote a product which can be bought elsewhere at a lower price (what would that do for his reputation?! ), but the WSO rules state that the WSO price must be the lower one. I don't think this would work at all.

I think the right idea if you are going to do both which I am is come out with a kick ass offer as a WSo for a REAL limited time and then close the offer and then start on Clickbank that way Warriors have had an opportunity to get in with a one time offer and then it goes public at the regular rate.

The problem is most only run WSO's and it is never offered outside of the WSO anyway or they just leave it open continuously.

I would and will be doing both but with a one time REAL limited time offer for Warriors

There are product creators who launched products via WSO first. When they found it successful and made money here, they then released it to the general public via Clickbank.

Sure ... I appreciate that a product can be sold in different places at different times, of course - but I don't think that was what was being referred to by the OP's comment that one could do both. Anyway, I have not done both, so I had no business replying at all, really. I just wanted to make the point that probably nobody's going to promote on ClickBank a product that's concurrently a WSO (at a lower price, which it would have to be), in case that point was relevant to the OP's thinking.

I know of a few people who use the WSO section as a testing ground for their products. If the product is a hit, they expand upon the product and launch it on ClickBank.

I've personally only ever sold products through the WarriorForum so I don't have a solid opinion as to which is more profitable.

I think that one of the bigger advantage to selling on the WarriorForum is that you don't need to do any traffic generation to make sales.

Conversely, if you sell a product on ClickBank and you don't already have affiliates in place it may be harder to make initial sales since you don't have that instant stream of traffic right out of the gates.

People have made fortunes both ways. I was just curious where others have seen the most success.

Sure you can get sales just by posting a WSO... but you probably are leaving money on the table if you don't promote it.

When you post a WSO it can drop of the 1st page in a few hours so you don't get the same exposure and sales than before - in the old days a WSO would stay in the front page (and 2nd page) for some time (almost 1 day if not more) and if the product was good it would generate a lot of sales without doing any other promotion.

This was discussed last week in the following thread started by Dr Mani about a WSO he posted this month and new strategies to promote WSOs - check it because you might get some ideias:
          http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-strategy.html

          ...

As for your question... you should consider to do both at different times: first a WSO to test your product (feedback, sales leter, stats and so on) and then ClickBank.

This is the correct way to do it. Use the Warrior Forum as a testing place for your product. Offer it at a low price and encourage feedback. Refine the product and then launch it outside of the forum on a platform such as Clickbank.

Initially introduce WSO at a lower price and then launch it at regular price in Clickbank or elsewhere...

Launch a WSO, gather testimonials, refine your sales copy and once it's converting at a rate you're happy with, close it down and relaunch at a higher price with data and promo material for affiliates.

WSOs are not a long term solution, some people can make a living off WSOs, but the idea of having to constantly churn out product after product to make bank, isn't what IM is about to me.

I'd use the WSO to make some seed cash that you can reinvest elsewhere - it's great for that, but I think you'd need something more long term to make your business really grow.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but you COULD promote a clickbank product in the classified ads section, yes? Cheaper and less competitive. Plus you'd be doing both.

... and a LOT less traffic. As of writing this post the WSO thread has 2695 people viewing it. The entire Warrior Products and Services thread has only 245 people viewing it. Less than a 10th of the traffic the WSO forum has... and the Classified section is a only sub-section of that forum so it would be even less.

I would much rather put my offers where the eyeballs are.

Hey now...don't be hating on the classified ads section just because it gets less traffic.

        http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ieds-rock.html

Keep in mind; it costs twice as much to post a WSO, it takes more work (has to be your own product), and it's EXTREMELY competitive. You could still make good money with it, but you're competing against a bunch of people who (perhaps mistakenly) rely entirely on the WSO section for their business.

Classified ads section, on the other hand, would be a great way to start an affiliate business, IMHO.

First launch wso. wso will die in like max. 1 month.
    then publish it on clickbank.

choosing any one is your lost.
    good luck.

If my focus was to get a little bit of money brill fast (X,XXX) then I would release a WSO

If I had a good long-term game and had time to invest I would go with clickbank 100%

But your best bet is to do a combination of both.

I will choose releasing products in Clickbank.

In the recent time I am seeing WSOs are failing to get loyalty of its customers.

I really don't understand why you want to go the "either/or" route - why limit yourself? If the product is worth it - both of course. CB "retail" price always a little higher making the WSO a real WSO since it's cheaper as opposed to CB. Not everyone looking on clickbank knows about WSOs.

    Hi,

this is my experience with both WSO and Clickbank.

After I wrote my ebook I placed it on Clickbank.

I then took very similar sales copy found on my site and created a WSO at a lower price.

What I've found with using both services is that the WSO get sales very quickly. The major disadvantage with releasing WSO is that the WSO falls down the listing very quickly and sales peter out (however I've found that people are still finding my WSO and buying it despite it being on page 10 or whatever it is now - so people are doing searches on the WF or on Google and finding the product).

Clickbank takes longer to get sales as you're dependent on either driving traffic yourself or relying on affiliates to sign up for your product. If you're justing starting out and don't have an email list then you will probably find you'll be waiting a while for Clickbank sales to kick in.

With a WSO you're really relying on fellow WF members buying your product but with Clickbank you do have the potential of finding a wider audience - but as I said it can take time to find that 'wider audience'.

For me, I've begun placing ads here and there on sites related to my product and this is begining to pay off. Hopefully as I expand my reach I'll make more Clickbank sales.

Also, I haven't forgotten about my WSO. I believe if you have an evergreen product (as I believe I do) then it's worth bumping it back to the top of page one every one in a while. I've already done this and I got more sales.

In summary, I would advise doing both - especially if you believe your product has longevity.

Do both. Best of both worlds.

As mentioned it's difficult to gets the cogs turning with clickbank, but it happens. You just have to be patient - assuming your product is in demand.
