Conversion rates on FB fan page

Hey Guys,

I've been working on my fan page for almost a month and a half on FB. I'm approaching 600 people (although it could be more if I was willing to spend more on daily budget). However, I'm not sellin to much of the stuff I post (and I really don't post products often). I just wanted to get an idea of what kind of conversion rates you guys are seeing on products you're uploading on your fan page.

Thanks!

You should read about how Facebook Fan page may be out of date very soon, maybe it won't. Facebook is introducing a "subscribe" button to a normal profile page. Read it here

      Hey,
I am also using fanpage for business purpose and my conversion rate is quite good. But I am using other processes too for increasing the business, so it is very nicely working.

I agree about facebook getting strict. One thing is that they have omitted the feature where we can mass share fan pages to friends.

Hmm thanks everyone for the info. A bit discouraging to see that facebook is making life harder for us, but I suppose thats how the game works...just have to keep adapting. I'm trying to think of what the next big thing is for IM and what i can do to incorporate facebook into it if fanpages will be out of date.

600 people isn't much. Usual conversion rates that I see are usually 1%, but it all depends what you are selling and how well you sell it. Also users don't look at every post so maybe people are just skipping over your posts. I would use facebook more to drive traffic to my site and then on my site I can convince them to buy something.

Not if you're promoting a legitimate website..? -AND- sticking to the rules/guidelines of Facebook?

I run a CPA-based rewards website which has huge success on Facebook. Haven't had a problem - why? because I read the guidelines and adhere to them. I can't get my 'ass kicked' by Facebook that way.

And this shouldn't be a problem for you, if you meet those two BASIC requirements: legitimacy of your website, and, adherence to Facebook rules/guidelines.

I haven't tried using FB fun pages before. Is it really worth the effort? I only use it to drive traffic to my site
