If You Are In Need Of Help...

Hey guys,

I thought I would write this post as I see a lot of posts of late asking for help:

"I need help!"

"Warrior's help me!"

I am not knocking it - we have ALL been there I am sure.

However most of these threads contain a one sentence plea for help:

"I have tried everything and it doesn't work - what now? Please help!"

This is not good enough!

If you truly DO want help you will get it here as I have done over the years.

You already have all of the help you need but simply asking for help and then not explaining what you have done, what you have tried and where you want to be will not cut it.

So if you want help:

Let us know what you have tried and WHY you think it is not working.

For instance if you have "tried" article marketing - how many articles have you written?

How many sites have you built?

The more information you can give the more help you can get.

The reason I am saying this is because 90% of people that will actually write 100 articles that are targeted and go through to a half decent sales page submitted to Ezine articles WILL make at least 1 sale!

Not it is not a business plan but it is a start...

So ask yourself:

"How hard have I tried?"

If the help you need is motivation - take a look around....

There are HUNDREDS of opportunities right here that cost NOTHING.

Try out the search feature and start reading, learning and most of all IMPLEMENTING!

I thought I would leave you with this that pretty much hits the nail on the head:

TRY NOT - DO OR DO NOT!

All the best,

Awesome Chris. Thanks for this pick me up. I tell people that all the time and they laugh but I tend to live my life by it. Do or do not. There is no try.
If you've ever talked with successful people you know that TRY is not part of their vocabulary. That little bit of advice when taken to heart can change the way you think about EVERYTHING.

Very good post. I'm still new to IM, but I try to help anyone I can from what I've learned, it would be easier if we get more detailed info from the start, to help.

Totally agree! It IS funny when Yoda say's it but it is SO true!

Living my life by that has enabled me to buy a house, car and set up a limited company last year.

Yes, I think the reason they don't is because what they are REALLY asking is:

      "What's the secret?"

"There is an easier way right?"

Muhammad Ali made boxing look effortless - most people if they stepped in the ring would leave looking like Jake La Motta after 12 rounds with Sugar Ray...

Hard work & Action creates results...

Thanks for the video Chris- again, wise Master Yoda is right on this one.

If you just "try" to get a client, it may never happen.

If you set out knowing that you WILL get a client.... you'll walk away with extra dough.

The ones that say "tell me, tell me, show me, show me" will never succeed. If you aren't prepared to get stuck in, try things for yourself and find out what you can/can't do then you are going to get nowhere. No-one can help you unless/until you are prepared to help yourself.

I have vowed to ignore most of these posts having got into pointless arguments with some lately who simply can't see that their own attitude is the problem

The ones you can help are the ones who have tried something - and come and ask for specific advise. "I've done x, y, z and I'm having trouble working out how to add z to my site", or "I've tried doing a, b, c but I can't get b to work. This is what I did, but what should I have done?"

Those are the people that can be helped. The ones who are prepared to get stuck in, get started and learn.

Those that just want everything handed to them on a plate are going nowhere.

Another story to further explain the meaning:

"There is a man of god - deeply religious who believes that he doesn't have to worry about anything because everything is God's work and he knows best.

He follows his religion to a tee, doesn't drink or smoke and in other words lives the Holy life!

One day there is warnings of a flood that will drown everyone in the village where he lives and they start to provide rescue services.

There is a knock at the door and the rescue service truck is there will all of the other villagers in the back.

They tell him "Jump on board otherwise you will surely die in the flood!"

The Holy man replies, " No God will save me I have nothing to fear!"

With a look of amazement the truck driver leaves and the man goes about his business.

Hours later he has to go upstairs as the Flood is so high and out of the window he sees a speedboat.

The man in the speed boat shouts over "Jump aboard - I have room for one more if you don't you will surely die in the flood!"

The Holy man replies, " No God will save me I have nothing to fear!"

The man in the speed boat waves and speeds off...

Still hours later the Holy man is on the roof, there is water all around the house and even he has to admit that he is starting to get concerned!

Just than a helicopter looms over him and the guy in the helicopter shouts down with the megaphone - "Grab the ladder and climb up - if you don't you will surely die in the flood!"

Again, the Holy man replies, " No God will save me I have nothing to fear!"

About half hour later the man drowns....

So there he is at the Pearly gates and he says to St Peter I want to see God right now I have a compliant!

    St Peter says "Of course!"

So he leads the man up to God and the man rushes in and says "God, I have believed in you, and obeyed your teachings all my life - I trusted you and you let me die!"

God looks at the man with bewilderment and replies "I sent you a truck, a speedboat and a helicopter - what more do you want?"

Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with religion and I respect every view - the meaning behind the story is key...

    All the best,

    Chris Jones
